Training Program
Oakland farms has an excellent training program. We can train in all English disciplines, driving, wetsern, racing, halter and "Breaking" (I refer to this as gentling) young horses. I dont use force or extra "training helpers" when I train. My program is easy for both the owner and the horse to understand. I can train all horses, any age or sex. I believe any breed can do any discipline, in other words i think you dont have to have a warmblood to compete in dressage or a quarter horse to do western pleasure. Here is what we train in and rates (pament is due at the beginning of eahc month):
Show Jumping: $100 a month, training up to 5'
Dressage: $150 a month, training up to International level
Cross Country: $200 a month, training up to International level
3 day eventing: $300 a month, training up to Dressage Internation Level/Jumping 5'/Cross Country Internation Level
Racing: $400 a month, training dirt or turf
Halter: $100 a month, training for any level
Driving: $500 a month, training for all levels
Gentling: $350 a month, in english or western
Western Pleasure: $200 a month
Barrel Racing: $350 a month
Pole Bending: $350 a month

For training sessions I go to the farm where your horse is currently staying. I will train your horse 3 days a week (please specify days) any day of the week except Sunday's. You will have the rest of the week to work with your horse. For the first week or so i will just work on getting to know your horses movements. I will tack and groom horses before and after a ride.
