Description: Short, thick, wavy black hair, black eyes, dark complexion. 5'5", 155 lbs, with a straight, long nose and a wide sensual mouth. Thick, arching eyebrows give him a constantly curious statement, and his hands and feet seem to belong to someone another size up, though it's not very noticible. Always well dressed, slacks and colorful silk or cotton shirts are a favorite. He prefers to wear expensive GQ type outfits, perhaps because being small built, he looks too much like a teenager in casual clothes. He likes the look of ties, but hates to wear them, and he has a weakness for buying classy shoes, and owns about three dozen pairs. Personality: Esteban is the kind of person who likes to see the best in everyone, at least at the first meeting. He is usually a charming, laid-back, easy going guy. He has a very long fuse, but an explosive Latin temper when pushed too far. Unconsciously, he is a bit sensitive about being shorter and smaller, and when challenged he is unlikely to back down, even if it might be the smarter thing to do. Prone to flirt and joke when in a good mood, and equally prone to sulk or fling things when in a bad one. He is very serious about doing his job with respect and responsibility. He likes movies, shopping, travel, mystery novels and his two cats, Agatha and Christie. He's also a bit of a romantic. Abilities: Psychic sensitivity to the dead in various degrees. Esteban can detect the presence of spirits and ghosts, but he can only communicate with them with the aid of ritual. He can detect vampires and other undead, and read certain things about them, such as their age, and approximate how powerful they are. He has mastered the art of animating, and can raise zombies up to two centuries old with a strong sacrifice and a dark moon, and once he raised the newly dead in broad daylight. He has some immunity to vampiric powers, but he hasn't spent much time learning to improve it, and a powerful Master can defeat his innate defenses. History: Esteban grew up in Miami,and his childhood was happy and normal enough until his early teens, when a man he loved like a second father died, and his emerging powers caused the body to rise during the wake. This estranged him from most of his friends and family to some degree, and he was sent to a an aunt and uncle in Ft. Lauderdale. He tried to ignore his power, and he tried to cut it off, but nothing worked until he sought out a local animator for help. The woman trained him and helped him learn, despite his being underage, and helped him get hired once he was old enough. Esteban worked for a few years at ReViva in Miami, and then freelanced for a few years. A few strange encouters with the undead and increasing sensitivities and abilities have made him think he might be a necromancer. He searched high and low for someone to teach him about it. Eventually he found someone who seemed to know what he was talking about, but who protested he was too old to teach Esteban. He referred him instead to his grandson, who lives in a town called Sanctuary.
