For those of ya who noticed I had a guestbook, well I changed the color scheme in there also. It fits the rest of the site better. Actually, maybe I had forgotten a bit 'bout it, and maybe I was too lazy to change it right away. Anyway. Right now I'd play Freespace 2. It has been a long time, but I think I'm too tired. I'll see if there's anything else to add on the crap-ass piece of junk that's my site, and I'll go to bed then. Yup yup yup...
later
Heya. Just thought you could want to see the Drive, Stellar and Pardon me videos, so I uploaded them on my site. Actually, they're not on my site, only the .asx are. They're the high-bandwith versions though, requiring a T1 (300+ kbps) or faster connection according to EnjoyIncubus.com, but they usually play well over a cable connection. For slower connections, head to the site and get the low-bandwitdth versions. When asked, you can open them to view them right now, or save them to your disk in order to be able to access 'em without always having to visit my site each time (remember where you save the files!). That's all, I'm outta here.
*wanders away, disturbing the silent night (and his asleep parents) by humming Drive*
(gotta buy the cd...)

Damn. Tuesday already?! Times goes by sooooo fast... Particularly when you've got an exam thursday and that you haven't studied a bit. 'nyway. Got another one monday. I guess I should go to sleep instead of writing this shit, but I can't help it. I read somewhere something that I found absolutely true. Doing a website is like a drug. Once you start it's hard to stop as you always want to make it better and better. Well, in my case it doesn't get any better, but at least it gets bigger and takes longer to load. *shrugs* 'nyway. It's cheaper than doing real drugs. And drugs are bad, m'kaaaay?... Good. *sighs* 22:15 is too late to finish a course. Who cares. My schedule sucks. My website sucks. My bed linings suck. My life sucks.
Hey, sooner today I had a really weird experience. The sun was shining high in the sky when I left home to go to some kind of troubleshooting class. Once there, I realized I almost had understood everything. I almost wasn't unhappy. And on the way back, the sun was still shining, but it didn't annoy me as usual. Instead, I lowered the car's windows, and a refreshing breeze kissed my carcass. And the music on Radio X was good. First there was Red Hot's Road Trippin', and I felt very odd. Kind of... peaceful. Serene. Y'know, when you just forget about everything else and just enjoy the present (hopefully, I didn't forget I was driving). And it fitted so well with the moment. Then there was Drive from Incubus (which I'm currently practicing on the guitar). I just love that song. Actually it's one of the very few songs that makes me sing along. And there were other groovy, soothing songs such as those. Overall, I had not felt that way since... well, so long I can't remember. Is that a step toward a website title change? I don't think so. Life still sucks, but it was a breather in my tormented existence.
Aaaaaarh... *melts* It's that song again!! Drive! (I'm listeging to my local Radio X live on the net). Sorry, gotta go, gotta sing. 'later!
"Whatever tomorrow brings I'll be theeeere... With open arms and open eeeeyes, yeaaeeeaaaaaah..."

Damn. I updated yesterday?! Time goes by soooo slowly... It's awful. Anyway. I did this during a break, after finishing some dumb Structured Programming exam in half an hour. It could be shaded better though, and could use some more detail, mostly in the shoulders area. *shrugs* Tell me what you think if you feel like doing so. No "you're so talented, keep up the good work"'s please.
Gotta go, I'm so tired. C ya later.
11/two minutes later
WTF??!?!?!? LOLOLOL Someone hijacked my website! Just have a look at my new drawing in the previous update. Anyone lookin' for an adult friend?... Hehehe... Maybe it IS in the sexual meaning of the word after all... I swear that stuff ain't in my account!!! I'll investigate this case, but meanwhile, you can have a look in my gallery instead, the pic is working there. Wwwweird!!!...

New drawing online. Maya is... hmmm... some kind of perverted (not in the sexual meaning of the word) avariel I drew during... hmmm... *tries to remember* ...my linear algebra course, if I remember well. Yea, that's it. That's all folks. Have a good day.

Weekend, at last! I finally linked the screenshots to my wonderful story for the pleasure of all. I can't stop thinking about Samus. I think I'm in love. I thought "I'll finish that damn game as quickly as possible so that I may begin another", but I-can't-go-on!! The need is too strong... Have to... start... another game!... Ungh! Eehengenenengheeng... Y'AAAaaaAAaaaARRGH!!!
*saves his webpage and starts his SNES emulator*
(by the way, red and white pictures actually are art dating from Metroid 2)

Dammit, I just can't accept that it's over! Man, this game's so amazing, it's a shame that it doesn't last longer (even though I spent too many hours on it, according to my parents). Y'know, today's Command & Conquer and Quake 3d clones all look and play the same. But then, Super Metroid had (and still has) its very own distinctive feel even though it may seem like yet another among too many platform games. I assure you, that's not the case. Super Metroid is unique, using the glorious 2d SNES graphics to bring forth a gaming experience that lasts even long after you've stopped playing it. And Samus' controls are so good, you control her as if you were the one that was fighting his way down there! Actually, that's no surprise the mercenary always wins, she's got her very own programmer! Seriously, I recommend... no, I order you to play Super Metroid, even if you haven't played the previous Metroids. Having played them helps build the atmosphere though, as the story is a direct development of the first ones', and you even get to visit places that you first explored in the original game! Any old-school gamer will feel some kind of nostalgia when they go back to Brinstar. Anywayway. No time to do the links thingy, but you can check the screenshots I took while battling the evil Mother Brain for the second time (they're in chronological order). Though, if you haven't finished this game by yourslef yet, I recommend you to do so before looking at them, for that would ruin the surprise, and the ambiance too. Well, gotta go.

I always get that odd feeling of satisfaction mixed with something that feels like sadness when I finish a good game. I'm talking about Super Metroid here of course. Has anyone ever felt that way? I know you don't care, but you can't understand how I feel unless you have a gamer's heart. I'm... sort of... sad... when I realize it's over, that there won't be anything else later. Dunno. *shrugs* Reminds me that time when I finished Mario Bros 2 on the NES. Phew, that brings some old memories back! Anyway. Let's get back to what we care about... Metroid!!
Immediately after valiantly emerging from her save pod, (I only use save states when I could normally save, so that playing the rom on my pc feels the same way as if I played the console), Samus rushes through the primary line of defense of Mother Brain's (some kind of giant brain space pirate... the big boss) underground Metroid-cloning fortress, unstoppable. Recklessly, she reaches Mother Brain herself, who's encased in the same kind of crystal barrier installation as in the first Metroid. Dodging countless projectiles and automated turret lasers, she finally manages to breach the pirate's shield and sends a volley of missiles and super missiles right in what would be her face! As our heroine takes cover from the debris launched by the exploding life support systems, Mother Brain falls to the floor, inert... only to rise again as the head of a hideous bio-mechanical dinosaur-like monster!!
Our heroine's usual sharp combat mind immediately takes over, and a fierce battle begins. As Samus realizes her enemy is getting weakened by the streams of missiles she launches, Mother Brain is forced to use stronger attacks to get rid of her annoying rival, belching blazing streams of immense power! In order to avoid being annihilated by her enemy's attacks, the mercenary leaps into a swirling ball of lethal energy as she executes her almighty screw attack to thwart Mother Brain's lasers and projectiles. Eventually, the monster begins to gather the required energy to lauch a devastating beam, the Brain Laser, that cripples the brave warrior with awful punishment, bringing her to the ground, pained and weak!... Slowly, the pirate, drooling over it's defenseless prey, starts charging again to launch another attack that would prove fatal to Samus Aran.
As everything seemed lost, a giant Metroid (Metroids being the creatures Samus hunts in all her episodes) suddenly (and surprisingly) takes part in the fight and leaps at the evil creature's head! The unlikely savior buries its tendrils deep into Mother Brain's tender flesh and drains her of all energy (Samus discovered elsewhere in the base lifeless remnants of colorless monsters), bringing her to the sickly green color of death; the monster stops moving, it has been defeated!! The Metroid then turns to Samus, and envelopes her with its substance and transfering a warm and agreeable life force into the heroine's crippled body. As the processus completes, Samus witnesses, filled with horror, that the vile beast is still alive and that it is slowly getting back to normal! Her single eye bristling with fury, Mother Brain turns on Samus' savior and attacks the giant Metroid. However, the creature, instead of fleeing or countering the attack, keeps protecting Samus from all harm, while being battered by the pirate's destructive fury. As it withstands Mother Brain's harsh punishment, it weakens, to the point that its embrace is torn from its protégé, and it is sent flying into the wall, where it is ruthlessly disintegrated by Mother Brain's raw power. Altough confused, Samus knows that her time has come to take on the beast.
Shining with a luminescent aura, filled with an unknown, mysterious energy, she shoots forth glowing multicolored beams of unprecedented might at Mother Brain. Astonished (and horrified) by her opponent's sudden increase in strenght, the villain fights back with all she has, but her evil powers are no match for Samus' determination. The mercenary's combat prowesses prove successful and her fighting experience, along with her new abilities, crush the pirate's horrid body, sending pieces of flesh, mixed with some bolts and purple liquid, everywhere in the arena. As Mother Brain's cybernetic body fluctuates uncontrollably with streams of energy, internal failures cause it to burst in a series of devastating explosions. The bloody brain falls back to the ground, agonizing, and the pirate bears its gaze upon Samus for one last time before crumbling into dust.
All of a sudden, as everything was about to be over, an alarm rings and emergency lights start glowing! The pirate, in a final attempt, initiated upon her death an automatic self-destruct sequence that has the explosive power to tear the whole planet apart (Mother Brain's lair is deep beneath planet Zebes' surface, in case you still didn't knew)!! Barking a curse or two, our heroine engages into the run of her life. Competing against the clock, she has to dodge and blast away hordes of insectoid acolyte pirates that struggle to keep her in to bring her to her doom along with them. But those weaklings are no match for Samus, and the mercenary just keeps blowing and blasting them away as the get too near. She's not among those who give up, and after fighting her way in the mazes that make up Mother Brain's fortress, she finds herself in familiar caves. Quickly, she leaps from outcropping to outcropping, finally reaching the surface and jumping into her spaceship. As fast as she can, our heroine ignites her ship's engines and takes off in Zebes' chaotic atmosphere (the ending anim begins). The desolated lands that were responsible for the planet's legendary creepiness are now furiously shaked and growling with hellish flames and lava.
Zebes' crust crackles, and veins of incandescant magma appear. As the planet's core, shaked by the pirates' lair's explosion, destabilizes, Zebes, the planet where all started, the very beginning of Samus' adventures, violently explodes. Rings of apocalyptic flames form, unleashing a destructive shockwave along with the fragments that formed the infested planet. Everything's over.
Slowly emerging from behind an asteroid, a shining yellow dot appears. As it approaches, its outline gets defined better, and one can recognize the mercenary's ship! She made it!! Once again, Samus Aran the mercenary triumphs of evil and proves that money justifies risking our life!
Oops!... Didn't mean to say that. Sorry to ruin the ambiance. Anyway my story's over. Tomorrow I'll link the different parts to screenshots I specifically took in order to illustrate my wonderful tale. I'll do that tomorrow 'cause right now I'm tired 'cause it's 2:53 am. So, c ya tomorrow.

Here we go. Samus Aran is such a chick! Really, isn't she cute in her sexy orange heavy armor? Heh heh... Don't worry I'm not that kind of guy. I played the rom all night long yesterday. Now that's some serious action. Pure adventure like in the good old days. Not like today, that is. They didn't throw a bunch of polygons together and sell them 60 bucks the CD. Super Metroid is another example of Nintendo's superiority. Top-notch controls, breath-taking 2d graphics, an excellent storyline (that can actually be played in the two previous games, one on the NES, the other on Gameboy) and an absolutely mesmerizing gameplay. One thing's sure, I'm gonna buy the Game Cube if the game selection seems interesting. There are serious rumors of a GC Metroid (that's for Game Cube Metroid by the way) also. Anyway. Want more info about the amazing Metroid series and its future? Go visit Norfair and Metroid Database. I've also got some Metroid footage (that was taken from a teaser video from Nintendo Spaceworld) right here so that you can dream along with me. For those with a fast connection, get the full montage (14.5 mb).
Some exams are coming up, so there's a possibility I won't update as often as right now. Seriously some courses are getting damn complicated, and if I want to understand the exams' questions, I'd better get at it. Real soon.
Well I'm pretty proud of how the color scheme turned out. I manipulated a small background tile that was just hanging there on my hard drive so that it would fit with the excellent Luis Royo picture. The first scheme was a little too happy happy joy joy for my taste. Of course, that's personal, but hey, that's MY website and I do whatever I want with it, UNDERSTOOD?? BaaAAAH... A lil' authority crisis here. Alright it's over now. You can go to bed.

Heya. I'm back from another evening of excellent Super Smash Bro ass-whoopin'. Ob's bro unlocked the two remaining chars, Ness (from Earthbound) and captain Falcon (from F-Zero). In a single evening, I think Ness has become one of my favorites characters, along with Samus Aran and Fox McCloud (who are from Metroid and Starfox respectively, for your information). Yup, yup, yup...
Well I don't have much to say. I corrected some typing mistakes in the last news. I'm still wondering about my studies and the meaning of life and stuff. I'm looking for a free bulletin board system to add to this place. And Freespace 2's campaign is going on quite well. That's all. G'night folks.
