Weyrling V'nol of blue Ergoth

The third son of the Lord Holder of Fort, Varynol had an educated but sheltered upbringing. He was kept mostly in lessons, being taught everything of history, trade, geography and anything else. His father never once considered him for the Lord Holding, seeing him as being to soft to be able to hold Fort well. But he had to keep the boy occupied, and so kept the boy constantly in the company of harpers. Varynol saw nothing odd about this, as he was a Lord Holders son, and he would have to be educated.

When he was sixteen, he was told he'd never be named as his fathers successor, not that it mattered much to Varynol. He felt he was better suited to other things anyway. He decided he would always be useful, as he knew more than any of his brothers combined. In addition to reading and writing, he was skilled in the art of swordsmanship and hunting, as any Lord Holder should be. But none of his brothers liked him much, sensing that same softness their father had seen. They all wanted him out of the Hold, and quickly. He was sent to Fort Weyr as a candidate, but they had no eggs on the sands, and he was sent to Thallen Myst.

he Impressed blue Ergoth there, and was a bit dissipointed his father was not at the hatching. But he didn't let it bother him, nor did he let it bother him when his father showed displeasure over him Impressing blue.

A bit aloof, but not condescending. He is on the naive side, but he is very interested in the world. Most of what he knows comes from books, and he has a thirst to experience life. He asks plenty of questions, and takes a personal interest in nearly everything.
