Wingrider J'lon of bronze Cryath

With short, dark blond hair and an impressiev build, J'lon is the epitome of a young hotheaed bronzerider. He is tall and broad shouldered with a tapered waist, and light green eyes. His skin is deeply tanned, and slightly roughened from the wind.

J'lon was born under the name Jerelon, to a minor holder woman (Jelora) and a journeyman starsmith (Arelon). Jerelon was just one of a gaggle of siblings, nothing special to mark him out accept for his knack of getting into trouble. he chose to follow his fathers craft, and actually had an interest in it. But his habit of learning very rapidly and questioning everything made him a rather difficult student. He'd go from one theory to another, consuming them, and finding what he thought were faults in them. He was very bright, but once he got an idea into his head he refused to let it go. In truth, he made the masters a bit nervous. He was usually respectful, but sometimes would argue a point with near voilent vehemence.

When Jerelon was seventeen, searchdragons from High Reaches came to the crafthall, and he was taken on search. The masters were secretly a bit releived to see him go. He had the same mind set and manner at the weyr, but was treated quite differently. Where the masters had simply let his atitude go, he was punished at High reaches. That only managed to make him more flippant. He failed to impress on first standing, and the weyr seriously considered sending him back to the hall. But they gave him one more chance, and to everyones amazement he impressed bronze.

J'lon stayed on at the weyr, but Impressing only made him more determined to be taken seriously and treated with respect. He used his status as a bronzerider, but to little avail. he already had a reputation as a loud mouth and a braggart, and so after two turns he put in for a transfer, and was granted one immediatly. He kept up his attitude at Storm Fires, but made a few friends. He still keeps to himself a bit, but not as much as he did. He still has very strong ideas about how things should be done, but he's learned to keep his mouth shut. He and the weyrwoman have an instinctive dislike of one another.
