Wingrider Amatria of green Koryth

Curly dark hair that falls to her waist marks Amatria. She is slim and petite, with wide dark eyes and a dark complexion. Her face is round and her skin is smooth. All in all, the picture of a young Lady Holder.

Amatria was born to the son of Fort's lord holder. She was has a fiery spirit that often led to clashes with her authoritarian and somewhat harsh father. Yet even the harshest of penalties could not make her conform to his ideas of how a mere girl should act, they simply made her more secretive in her rebellion. Although her father intended for Amatria to become lady to one of the other lord holders, Amatria wished for nothing more than to selected on a search.

Unfortunately, the first search passed her by because her father had conspired to keep her hidden from the searching dragonriders. But Amatria decreed that would never happen again. When the next search came, she slipped out of her locked room and into the main hall, where she presented herself as candidate material. She was taken on search to Fort Weyr, but transfered Inlet Cove Weyr. There she befriended many other candidates and stood for Fiannath's clutch. She impressed green Koryth, and was basically disowned by her family. Her grandfather had very strict views of the weyr, and the looseness of the riders. No daughter of his family would be one of them!

Amatria hid her dissapointment as best she could. She threw herself into taking care of her dragon, and mucked her way through weyrling training. She resented the weyrlingmaster, but suffered in silence. She was glad to graduate, and put weyrling training behind her forevor.
