In my editorial I would like to point out some of the facts about the AOL Time Warner Petition and why they should consider on getting this all access Anime Channel. So please read on and then at the end sign the petition.
I was thinking the other day about the AOL Time Warner petition for 24 hours of Anime TV. Then I thought why don't we already have 24 hours of Anime we already have 24 hours of crappie cartoons on Nickelodeon, KidsWB, and sometimes Cartoon Network. Everyday is the same thing on all these stations just plain American "cartoons," Anime is a Japanese "cartoon" which is very interesting and very entertaining. Toonami is good for all the dubbies out there and for little kids who can only watch something that doesn't have cussing or blood in it. If we get an Anime channel it should have 12 hours of dubbed and 12 hours of subbed, and put it all into blocks, and preferably it being unedited. It already takes FunImation one year to two years to maybe a decade to dub a whole series. This is one of the reasons we should get an Anime channel. Some of it being subbed so we can view the original art of the Japanese and their culture and actually enjoy it. I admit I like the dubs but the dubs "lie" too much. For example: Remember when Vegeta was fighting Goku he told Gook his father was a scientist and Bardock was not a scientist he was a low class saiy-jin like Goku. The subbed version says that the moon blast is actually a brute ray which makes a normal saiy-jin turn into an Oozaru. Another example would be when Cell said he could regenerate from any cell in his body, yet again in the sub he says he can regenerate from a cell in his brain.
Unedited Anime is fun to get if you watch edited DBZ all your life. Unedited versions are so much better than the edited. I will give another quick example, Remember when Vegeta broke his arm the edited version didn't have the "snap" sound they had in the unedited version. Also I am sick of when people get so hard the bleed and they edit it all out. If they want to work a good Anime channel you should have options like: 6 hours of unedited dubbed then 6 hours of edited dubbed and then you have your subs 6 hours of unedited and 6 hours of edited. C'mon 40-50 years ago Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck were getting shot in the faces with guns by Elmer Fudd.
Basically my point is why doesn't America already have an all access Anime channel they already have Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, KidsWB, and many more. They should switch up the block so you have your edited and unedited with your subs and your dubs.
