Bolt was the creation of Dr. Arther Dragonpeak. Originally, he was the doctor's assistant, but after a Maverick assault on his lab, the two joined the Maverick Hunters. Bolt was modified for battle; the DragonFang was developed for both close and long ranged combat.
During his time with the hunters, Dragonpeak had undergone surgery, which made most of his body robotic.
During the end of the Third Maverick War, Dr. Dragonpeak was captured by Mavericks and when Bolt went to rescue him, he was forced to fight his creator. After the incident, Bolt has developed a strong belief in family and stays with the Hunters to prevent families from being broken apart.

After Zero's disappearance, Bolt assumed command of the #0 Unit, staying within the style Zero led with. His armaments include his Z-Saber with the lightning element and his DragonFang with attached flamethrowers.
