As she walked silently the darkness surrounded
them, the winds began to howl around
them as the headed to the priest cave that she had found when she was a
girl as she ran through the lands exploring. They
all felt tense as they moved though the forst
not knowing what to expect next. Artimus held his hand to the
cutlass and the whip ..readdy to strike at a moments notice
...Lady Fair looked around as they moved
seemingly with out a worry...Jaked paced himself to where he can just see
them, but stays far enough behind to make sure no one was left
behind or got lost.....Marion on the other hand...just watches
them all...then turns to go back aboard
the ship....Mystique turned back as she watched her go and the darkness
seemed to follow close behind Marion. Artimus called to Marion
as she walked away ..."Marion it's safer with us." Jack watched her as
she walked past him and looked to
her asking..." What tis wrong baby?" yet she did not answer either of them
as she headed for the ship. Jack looked to them and back to Marion
and spoke..."I'll catch up
with you guys go ahead." as he disappears back towards the beach.
Mystique watched silently and kept on walking and soon they came
to the cave hidden in the brush from view and she moved it
away as she looked up along the mountan
side. The reached the cave as Marion is back up on the deck... nae
turning back to look... she goes below to her cabin
room. Mystique looked into the darkness and
smiled a far away look in her eyes. |

On the ship Marion sat down on the bed and a
presence stood before her as the darkness
entered the stateroom...Jack who had been following got aboard the ship
and walked down to the stateroom and knocked on the door....
"Marion is everything alright?" he called out as he found the
door locked. Once again he knocked
and hearing no answer kicked open the door to find Marion huddled on
the bed as the darkness began to surround her. At the
cave, Mistique walked in and felt
around for the table that had once been there when she had spent many
hours inside the cave as a child. Mistique tensed
suddenly as she felt the darkness and saw in
her mind it's intentions and she called out to Artimus ..."You have to get
them off the ship...she continued searching in the dark for the
table. Upon finding the table
she took the lamp sitting on it and shook it to see if there was any lamp
oil still in it and turned to the others..."any one
have a way to lite this? On board the ship Jack
looked around the room and seeing the dark form before Marion
grabbed Marion shaking her as she seemed to be in
some form of hipnotic state as said.."you must go marion, run get off the ship! Marion only
looked to him as if she could not move. Artimus hearing the tone of
Mystique's voice ran out of the cave and goes
quickly back to the ship. Jack looked toward Marion....Marion? and
as he spook the he was engulfed by the
darkness.
Artimus ran onto the ship and down to the staeroom
and as he enter he yelled...." we have to get to the cave" as he looked to Jack and the
darkness around him. "Marion
run !" yelled Jack. Marion only stared out into space, as the
darknes has already entered her. Jack looked into her
eyes and screamed ..No Marion! as he tried to
fight off the darkness around him. At the cave Mistique closed her eyes,
and using a power unknown to her the lamp lit up and she set it
back on the table. Jack
thrahed on the floor as he fought off the darkness "god damnit" and tried
to sink his fangs into the darkness uselessly. Artimus watching
begins to glow with an inner
light as Marion's mind raced trying to fight the demon... her angelic
powers trying to take over... as it goes for the child.
Mystique looked to the cave walls and
the writings upon it as she watched what was happening in her mind.. and
whispered....."No Stop!. Artimus knowing that the darkness
wasn't a problem to one with
holy power takes Marions hand and allows the light to enter her. Seeing
this Jack called out to him... "Artimus take her and go I will
handle this...Please Artimus
take her to safety. Artimus looked to Jack softly as he looked to
the darkness and spoke in a low tone ..."I'm more fit
to handle this one Jack." Jack anxious
for Marion to be out of harms way yelled "no go I can handle this.!"
as he continued to fight the oncoming
darkness.
Mystique at the cave looked to the writing on the
wall silently and sighed as she watched
what was happening on the ship in her mind. Slowly Marion's mind grew
stronger as the heavens begin to open above them and a bolt of
energy hit her forcing the darkness out of her. Artimus
looked to Marion and smiled..."She'll be safe in a
moment." and then Marion fell to the floor. As Jack talked the darkness
slammed him hard against the walls of the stateroom as tried to
fend it off while. Artimus
picked Marion up and turned to Jack ....."Lets go Jack." and walked out
of the stateroom and down the corridor to the stair leading
up to the deck as Jack fought
off the darkness and followed. The winds outside on the deck were
fierce as they made their way back to the cave. An
eerie laughter could be heard as they stumbled
into the cave entrance. As they entered they glanced around the cave
and they could see the cave is lit by a small lamp
that sat on the table and Mystique l;ooked
to them silently. Artimus walked to the table and set Marion upon it
as she lay very still. Mystique looked to Marion
and cried silently as she whispered softly..."I am so sorry." she reached out and touched Marion's
cheek softly as Artimus looked to her and smiled....She'll be fine
its all my fault ...Jack looked to her and
agreed...."no its no ones fault as he looked to Artimus who was now taking
Marion's hand channeling energy through her. Jack turned back to
Mystique and said quietly..."We all decided to come here." as
Marion's eyes being to flutter.
The light in Artimus hand grows brighter as it
passes through Marion body. Jack already
exhausted by using alot of his power levitates to the ceiling and turns
upside down as a way of relaxing and regaining his strength.
Mystique remembering that the cave had a small bed on one
side of it moved to it and took the cover off and threw it to the floor as Marion began
to stir a bit... mumbling softly..."Jack?" Jack looked down from his position on the
ceiling and whispered...."I am here Marion." Mystique looked
to the Marion and sighed as she motioned
to the bed..."you can lay down and rest." Artimus looked to Mystique
and let go of Marion's hand ...."Jack watch her" as he
began walking to where Misti stood
silently. Jack looked to ward Marion and back to Artimus..."aye I shall "
and turned his loving gaze to Marion. Marion
glanced around and very softly whispered to
Jack... "Where are you... I can nae see you." Jack flipped and landed on
the ground, he then walked to Marion, took her hand
and began leading her to the bed. As Marion
tries to walk she stumbles falling to her knees whispering... "so very
weak." Jack holds her up in his arms and walks to the bed and
sets her down on the bed
gently....."Rest Marion. I shall watch the entrance." Marion looked to him
worriedly as she starts to panic..."The baby... what of the baby
Jack? |
