Dedicated to All the Children, Please Prevent Child Abuse
In the still of the night a soft cry was heard
from the lips of a child bearing unknown hurt,
Please... was all those little words said
Leave me alone... I wish you were dead.
With blood on his hands and tears in his eyes
He looked to the floor watching them die,
Please... he said leave me alone
Now look what I've done, I'll never go home.
He walk to the door as he looked back
Into the eyes of the people in black,
Please... I had told you... leave me alone
Now all that was left was for him to be gone.
As morning light came to the house by the lake
He sat on the steps knowing it was too late,
All that he whispered was... Please leave me alone
Why did you have me? Why was I born?
