Betrayal
I sighed slightly as I looked toward you
I did not know to
say or what else to do
I just felt myself all torn up
inside
As I thought of not being at your side
Bitter tears
flow down my tear stained face
I thought of someone else's arms
taking my place
I could not withstand the searing pain I
felt
I felt so utterly helpless at what fate had dealt
Now
came the time to say I loved you so
As I finally understood I had
to let you go
I cried softly all through the silent night
As I
saw the one I loved begin to take flight
What had I done to
feel this tormenting pain
What could I do to never feel it on me
again
Life had seemed so short and awfully sad
And gave thanks
for knowing you, thus I was glad
All I ask is to please
remember me once in a silent while
I the one who came to loved
you with out denial
For I no longer have the strength or will to
live
I ask that please find it in your heart to
forgive
Now I must go into the cold and lonely night
To
bid farewell to the early morning light
Please remember of me
until the day you die
I loved you more than I loved myself that
is no lie.
Now that the end is near and so very cold
All I
ask is please forgive me I really have to go.
I must go and find
the start to a brand new life
I wish you well with your future
blushing bride.
