
Wiccans are individuals born with the ability to communicate with the dead, and use spell-like abilities. Wiccans use no spellbooks, components, or prayers. The power is created from their own inborn talent, honed by practice and training. Their abilities do not manifest themselves until sometime after puberty. Wiccans are distrusted by the common folks and dispised by priests and mages. Wiccans have taken to keeping their abilities secret in order to survive, often posing as a priest or mage. Most Wiccans belong to the Coven, a secret fellowship that offers training and refuge. Wiccans use the same types weapons and armor as a Priest or Wizard. Wiccans can be either male or female.
Unlike other Classes in Ages of Imperium, Wiccans have a patron goddess, Felona, who takes an interest in them. There are no priests to Felona, and she does not grant clerical spells. Not much is known about Felona among the Wiccans and virtually nothing is known about her among non Wiccans.
Speak with Animals Wiccans can telepathically communicate with a single species of animal, the species being determined during Character Creation. The Wiccan can communicate thoughts with animals of that species that are within a 50 foot radius of the Wiccan. This includes all members of that species, for example: dogs and wolves are members of the same species.
Familiars A Wiccan can telepathically communicate with a pet of the same species as their choice of species to Speak with Animals. A Familiar is special in that the 50 foot radius does not apply to them, the Wiccan and their Familiar are telepathically bonded, and can communicate with each other over any distance. Wiccans can have only one Familiar at a time.
Speak with Wiccans Wiccans can communicate telepathically with any other WIccan within a 50 foot radius. This is two way communication and includes thoughts, ideas and words.
Wiccan Aura Wiccans can easily identify other Wiccans because they can see the mystical aura that surrounds all Wiccans. Non Wiccans cannot see or sense the Wiccan Aura, nor can it be detected magically.
Telekinesis
This is the ability to move objects by mental power. Your skill in psychokinesis dictates how much weight you can move and dictates how much deftness with which you can handle the object.
Levitation
This skill works on the Wiccans's own body and whatever he/she is carrying at the time. It is the psionic form of flight.
Pyrokinesis
This is the power to increase the temperature of an object, often to an incendiary point. Once started, a pyrokinetically-set fire burns normally. The higher the skill level of the Wiccan, the faster that they can increase an objects temperature. Pyrokinetic heat is trapped within the subject; very little escapes until the Wiccan stops concentrating. thus, a sufficiently skilled Wiccan could literally turn a victim to ashes and leave the victims clothing untouched.
Cryokinesis
This works just like pyrokinesis, but in reverse. It is less spectacular, but is still useful. The colder an object gets, the more brittle it becomes, until absolute 0, where anything is brittle enough to break at the slightest touch.
Telepathy
Telepathy is the power of mental communication and control. Telepathy is unaffected by physical barriers, but distance does affect the effectiveness of the attempt. the higher the Telepathy power, the longer the range.
Empathy
This is the ability to tell, not what someone is thinking, but what they are feeling. When a subject is within range, the Wiccan can tell whether or not the subject is lying--not what the truth is, just whether or not the subject is being truthful. You can also get a general sense of a subjects personality.
Sleep
This one is self explanatory. A Wiccan skilled with this ability can induce sleep in their subject. This is a normal sleep, and the subject can be awakened by anything that would normally rouse them out of a deep and restful slumber.
Healing
The power of psychic healing effectively combines empathy, psychokinesis, and telepathy, but is effectively it's own seperate power. The Wiccan must be in physical contact with the subject. The act of psychic healing is intensly draining on the Wiccan--even a broken arm can result in unconsiousness for some. As with magical healing, there is little to no scarring.
Revivification
The ability to restore life to a dead person. The possibility of resurrection is reduced by the number of hours the person has been dead. If the person is restored to life with any success, they will remain in shock for quite a while: like not fully being there. Revivification does not heal injuries; this requires further treatment.
Psychometry
The ability to gain information about persons by touching an object with which they have been in contact. One possible use is to determine a person's current location from a piece of their clothing. Psychometry may also be used to divine the history/properties of an object held by the Wiccan, perhaps to learn the age, powers, or the identity of an artifact's maker/owner. Psychometry cannot be used to divine the future. It works best when queries concern the present or the recent past. Sometimes it is reduced for queries concerning the distant past or if knowledge of the subject is magically hidden. It will usually answer any yes/no question.
Teleportation
This is the power of moving things or people from place to place, without traversing the distance in between. A teleported object or person just simply 'blinks' from one place to another, in no time.
