Rules Of Being An Assassin

When someone is attempting to obtain an assassin ID#, they must send a mock to the Administrator for him/her to review and judge whether or not the attempt is good enough for a reg. Once someone has obtained their ID they must follow the rules and ways of being an assassin:

    1) Any proof[logs] sent to the (-)ADE§ high council that shows a registered assassin abusing their license[such as AAing without a contract or valid contract] will have their license revoked. They will not be able to obtain a new ID for 6 months.

    2) To attempt an assassination an assassin must get the approval of the contractor[via contract]. The request will be viewed by him/her to see if the reason for such an assassination is valid or not.

    3) When performing an actual AA[not mock] the following guidelines MUST be followed:
a)At least 7-10 RP lines must occur before the assassin starts to state terms.
b)After meeting the required amount of RP lines the assassin is to state the following in OOC brackets:
        i. HADES Forum AA
        ii. Performed on -(target's s/n)-
        iii. Performed by -(assassin's s/n)-
iv. The contract number and the assassin's ID#
        v. Assassin's dice/enhancers
        vi.Date and Time
        vii.5 min auto kill engaged
viii. State that the target should state their dice/enhancers/and present BG's.

    4) Once the target states their stats, the assassin will tell the target in OOC brackets to roll perception[2d20 or greater...depending if enhancers are involved]. The usual number to pass perception is 2 hits, however if either the assassin or the target comes equipped with enhancers the number can either increase or decrease.

    5) After rolling perception one of two things can happen. The first is that if the target passes perception the assassin must ask if the target will flee, fight, or dodge.

Flee meaning that the target has seen the assassin and they wish to run out of the place[the current room they are in] and seek safety. At this point the AA has failed and the assassin is unable to perform another one on the same target for 24 hrs. Fight meaning a force DM will occur, each with 150hps. Both the target and the assassin use FULL guild dice at this point. Whoever is beaten first is the one who needs to get a HADES rezz. Dodge means that the AA will continue but when it comes time for the assassin to attack the target will attempt to dodge that attack. Target AND assassin use 2d -(their strength)-. If the target is able to roll a higher total than the the total hits of the assassin, the dodge is considered successful.[For example, an assassin rolls a total of 4 hits and the target rolls a total of 5, then the target's dodge succeeds and the target gets first strike in a force DM that follows].

If the target is unable to pass perception than the AA continues. The assassin must state in OOC brackets the amounts of HTK's needed to kill the target. [Please refer to the dice section of the charters for that info]. If the assassin is able to roll 2d [their dice sides and either reach or go over the necesarry amount of HTK's to kill the target then the AA is successful and the target must obtain a valid HADES Rezz within 24 hrs of the death or the target is dead, permenantly. The following is a list of how many rezz's are let in the HADES forum depending on mortality.

    Mortal - 3 rezz's
    Half-Breed - 4 rezz's
    Immortal/Supernatural - 5 rezz's

The Duties of Bodyguards

The obligations of bodyguards to a potential target of an assassin is clear. During an AA, if a target has BG's[bodyguards] present in the room with them they must state at the appropriate time that they are present[after the assassin tells the target to state their dice/enhancers/BG's]. All BG's then must state their dice/enhancers and roll perception when asked to do so by the assassin. If the BG's fail perception then the AA continues as if there wasn't any BG's. However if the BG's perception passes one of two things can happen:

    1) The BG can warn the target of the assassin's presence and can either flee or fight with the target...

    OR

    2) The BG can try to tackle the assassin and sacrifice themselves[by choosing to tackle they automatically are commenced into a forced DM, giving the target a chance to escape].
