1) The Master or Mistress is ALWAYS correct (as far as the slave is concerned). A slave is not going to be mouthy, argumentative, or insulting in any way to a Free Person. This goes for thoughts as well. If you do so expect to be disciplined by that Master or Mistress and then by myself and your Master or Mistress for being disrespectful and dishonoring them. If you dont agree with something a free person says...deal with it, you are only a slave. If they are doing something that is wrong and you cant seem to hold it in, beg in the room to whisper to them. if granted permission you may tell them in IM's OOC. dont make a habit of it!
2) you do not need to beg permission to enter a room. there is no such position as *karta*. If in the establishment that you chose to go into expects it of its slaves, then you are to
a) act accordingly
or
b) do not go in there
Do NOT correct a Free Person and you will NOT refuse service.
If you are in an establishment that requires you to act a certain way then do so swiftly beautifully and obediently. Including begging entrance but know that you are not to do this all the time. only when required.
You will always beg permission to exit or go AFK if longer than for 5 minutes. You will NOT beg to leave or go AFK in the middle of a serve unless a Mun Emergency (in that case tell them in IM's whats wrong and appologize). you will not greet or talk to anyone while serving.
3) If you are found displeasing by any Free Person you are to notify them that I should be contacted, along with or instead of your Master/Mistress.
4) you may speak in first or third person, whichever you find enhances your submission most. when begging you will always speak in third person.
5) Red silks are expected to be sensual, beautiful and very descriptive with everything they do. You will always serve in Nadu except when serving a Free Woman. If you are in a tavern and there are Free Women present, the FW should know what type of place they are going into beforehand and understand that you will serve the Men in nadu, but do not take it to an extreme where it may really become offensive.
6) There is NO serving tent in the gardens or falls or any of the kajira "safe" rooms. They are not connected to any tavern and no one maintains them. If you are in one of those rooms and you are instructed to serve, beg permission to whisper to them and explain to them that you were taught that there is no serving tents in the gardens. If the still wish for a drink you WILL serve them you will NOT refuse service, but you will get up of your cute lil arse and go into a tavern prepare the drink and then go back and serve it. Give them a log if they request it.{due to aol rp I conceed to the serving tent or at times place a vendor by the gate}
7) Be realistic. in regards to #6 if you will serve in the gardens and go to a tavern use a bota not a bottle since the bottle is likely to break. if in a tavern do not serve with beautiful crystal or gold goblets enlayed with gems. serve with simple goblets, cups and bowls. There are no cold boxes. there is a dark room in the back which may keep things cooler than usual but not a cold box. There is no Ice in the summer time anywhere south of Torvaldsland. there may be some ice in the winter time in certain cities. Ice is kept in the storage shed under sawdust and is very expensive. There is NO white Ka-La-Na. if asked to serve kalana you will serve red kalana. If asked to serve white kalana beg to whisper to the Master or Mistress and explain that there isnt any.Tell them that you have white wines. If they insist you still serve it then just say ka-la-na. use no colors.
8) If in a tavern,inn or private home DO NOT wipe the vessel or inspect it. that is disrespectful to tha tavern owner, inn owner or host. if you are in a private garden or a war camp or somewhere outside then you may wipe it with a clean rep cloth. DO NOT USE YOUR HAIR or SILKS that is disgusting and would probably dirty it more than clean it.
9) do not offer to test for poison or to "sweeten the rim" nor will you bring it to your heat or to your heart for 3 beats etc (unless of course specifically requested, and in that case, know that it is just a preferance of the Master or Mistress you serve and you are not to ask or continue doing so for anyone else). If they ask for you to test for poison then pour a small amount on your hand and taste it. when serving you will always kiss the side of the vessel and then proffer it over your bowed head. Your lips must NEVER touch the rim of a free persons drink. if they insist you drink out of the same cup, you will drink off a different side.
10) when done serving you will get back to your previous position and patiently await further instructions or to be released. wrists crossed in your lap for tower and hands resting on your thighs or wrists crossed behind your back for nadu. you will be silent and obedient.
11) if your Master is present you will beg him for permission to greet others.
12) you will never address a FP by their name in a public place. simply as Master or Mistress.In a private room it will depend on the Masters preferance, but NEVER do it unless specifically told to or given permission to.
13) you may greet free people by saying Tal or greetings whichever you prefer.
14) your chores must be done daily before going out to play. you will send a log to me and to your Master or Mistress. you will also practice what you learned in training daily and log this as well. I will update the chore list for you weekly and we will go over training classes as needed depending on your level.
15) if unsure of something in the middle of a serve ask another slave.
this shouldnt happen, because before you will be allowed to serve, i will test you to make sure you know what you are doing, and you would have the information that i gave you. In the event that you dont and there is no one to help you and you are stuck, beg the free person, tell them that you are new and ask them to help you. If this would happen you will get more training.
16) feel free to ask me anything, i am here to help. I may not have all the answers, but i know a lot and if i dont have the answers i will find out for you.
17) speak when you are spoken to. Bratty behavior will not be tolerated.You shall also address me as Mistress at all times while i am still your trainer.
16) know your place at all times. you are a slave and expected to act like one at all times. Do NOT go into rooms if you are not in the mood and cannot give 100%.
