Part 7- Melmond

Welcome to the Dwarf Cave. Here you'll meet many dwaves that have some interesting information and will help you on your quest by allowing you to visit many places that you could not reach before. There are no shops, so let's talk to some of the people. One talks about a FLOATER and how he could make something float with it... hmmmm... take note of it.
The next dwarf talks about how the earth is rotting from the west. This is very important. Why is it rotting? What is causing it? Your about to find out. Next, let's go talk with the blacksmith of the cave.
He tells you that he would make you a legendary sword but he's out of ADAMANT. It's capitalized so it must be important, definetely remember this because it will most help much later in the game. Head to the bottom left corner of the cave now.
It seems that Nerrick has been building a canal, but needed some TNT, and you have some. He'll finish the canal now. Before you leave ransack the treasury. The treasures include: Cabin, Iron Helmet, Dragon Sword, Silver Dagger, Wooden Helmet, Silver Armor(NICE), 575G, and a House. There's also a chest with some G in the main room that you don't want to miss.
Now you can exit the cave and head back to your ship. Head southwest from where you docked. You'll notice that there's now a hole in the land where the canal was built. Before you leave through you might want to make sure that you have quite a few HEAL's, SOFT's, and PURE's. You'll need them soon, there's no item shop in the next town.
Melmond is your next stop. It's a town directly west of the canal. Notice how the earth around the town is all swampy and the whole town is in pretty bad shape. Head on in.
Melmond is in bad shape. The ground is turning all brown. The first person you talk to informs you that the vampire has invaded the town and destroyed the clinic. Who is the vampire? Could he be causing the earth to rot? Questions, Questions. But, this means that there is no clinic in this town to revive your characters, not good.
Another person informs you that Sarda doesn't fear the evils of the cave. Interesting, take note of this and keep on talking to the rest of the people.
Another person informs you that you'll have to pass through Titan's Tunnel in order to get to Sarda. Yet another tells you that the Titan loves RUBBIES. It's capitalized so it must be important. It seems that you won't be able to get to Sarda until you have a RUBY.
Melmond is also the location of the famous Dr. Unne. Well not so famous yet. Remeber that he's here, he'll come in very handy much much later in the game.
Around this destroyed building that I guess used to be the clinic you'll find a guy who also makes a reference to a stone that makes things float, interesting.
Now it's time to go shopping. Things are even more expensive in Melmond. Steel armor is 45000G, don't bother buying it... yet. Instead I recommend using your money to buy the white magic life. With no clinic this spell will come in very handy. When you do buy black magic MAKE SURE YOU LEAVE ONE SPOT OPEN FOR WARP. You will not be able to buy warp until upgrading but it is one of the best spells in the game and well worth waiting for.

-After you've purcahsed LIFE I also recommend buying FIR3 black magic. Many of the upcoming enemies will be weak against this. As for other things to buy with your money, if you have any White Mages, Black Mages, or Black Belts then you should probably buy them a silver bracelet. If you still have extra money lying around buy the white magic spell CUR3. I also recommend HRM3 but you don't need it yet. Of the upcoming enemies not many of them are undead so you will be able to put CUR3 to a greater use. But, make sure you put LIFE in front of them both. As for where to go next, let's head to Titan's Tunnel first. It's located dead west of Melmond.

Titan's Tunnel is dead west of Melmond. If you remember one of the townspeople told you that this is how you get to Sarda. However, there's one giant problem.
When you go in there's a big giant in your way that won't let you through. Hmmmmm... he likes RUBBIES so maybe if you gave him one then... That's all to see here, you might want to head back to Melmond to heal up before you venture to the Earth Cave.
Once your healed up it's time to head to the Earth Cave. The cave is southwest of Melmond and south of Titan's Tunnel. Before you head in, you might want to use a TENT or something to save your game before you enter.

-It's time to take on the Earth Cave. The enemies here will be the hardest you've faced so far so you better be prepared.
