FIRST CONTACT

In the year 2278 the Leparus space Probe Lo'Brion Reached the surface of the planet Rokopra, the farthest planet from the sun of the Travails Star System.   This probe held an Omnicrystal Gate, a technology Developed by the Leparus. The planet according to the leparus reports was a large cold planet with atmosphere like that of earth.

A few notes upon the Omnicrystal gates they act as portals of human legend lining one place to another no matter the distance though travel between these points is similar to warp space.

When the probe landed the first creature to walk through it was not the Leparus but the natives of Rokopra.  

DISCRIPTION

The Pergroth are 2'6 to 3'0 tall bird like creatures. It's plumage black with white on its belly. They also sport brightly colored feathers behind there heads from yellow to orange. Their wings are twice there body height, and are connected to their small arms like a Pterodactyl would have. Their wings are leaf shaped, helping them swim faster underwater than normal humans. And being their wings are close to 6 feet long they have the ability to fly long distances like a bird.

Being the wings are 6 feet long and they are 3 foot tall their wings would drag the ground. But their wings are quite flexible and are able to fold back to a length equal to half their true length. When their wings are folded back their human like hands (not arms) can be seen plainly as small and boney, yet ust powerful enough to lift themselves off the ground.

The race is not very advanced technologically but they are amazing psychics using it in there day to day life, as they have been introduced to many other races in the cosmos. They are a knowledge loving and quite peaceful race. They are uncomfortable in warmer planets, as they prefer a crisp 68 degrees, but most like it lower as when in public they generally go about with a Freon Belt keeping them frosty.

SPECIAL ABILITIES

Minor Telepathy and Projection: This allows them to tell the profession or alignment of a creatures, aswell as it's mood and any surface thoughts it has with a successful Mind check. Their natural Telepathy ability also allows them to talk to anyone around them using their mind to project voices into another persons head.

Flight: they can fly at a speed of 30 MPH as there arms are part of there wings similar to ancient day pterosaurs as that is how they walk.

Swimming: They can swim at a speed of 30 MPH being very agile in the water, and Graceful.
