Inhabiting the star system of Beta Omega nine, is the planet BO9-6 , approximatly 1,245 light years from the home planets of the Bristoli, Vug, and Echidnae. The Inhabitants call there home world Florica. The Botani as they call themselves were in fact not discovered by any of the races close to them but by the Leparus on there way to one of the nearby moons, rich in minerals specifically gems used to create the Omni Crystal gates. Due to one overly chubby Leparus having eaten the rations of the others , shortly afterwards sent into space alive and kicking...... for 0000001 seconds at least anyways. They made their way to florica on a hunting expedition for more rations. After landing they soon made first contact with the inhabitants. One of the engineers decided to have a small bite of a nearby plant, only to have it pepper him with a volley of small spines and start making odd noises at him telepathicly. This having angered the Leparus to no end, they made short work of the first plant. After gathering more normal food, they managed to capture a live one for further study on the strange species.

The following was found out about the Botani during the research done by the Leparus, the rest by Bristoli who later learned of the race while attending a banquet during a tornment on the echidneas home planet while dining with leparus Arbitrators. This was a few hundred years back, the Botani having become members of diffrent societies and bettering their own, which was quite adaptable to practicaly all other planets.

The Botani communicate via mental telepathy though must still learn the language of the person they are speaking with. The Botani's body shapes vary tremendously most between 2ft to 10ft in height. They are covered in leaves of varying shape with a faint huminoid shape underneath. They are bipedal , their legs made of twined roots and they can unroot or root themselves in soil at will. Due to their physical makeup the Botani may not wear armor but posses a 15% soak. they also suffer double damage from flame or heat attacks. They are compleatly immune to stun damage and poisons though herbicide works just fine.

The Botani can use firearms with a -5% to hit. However they may not Pilot any type of Vehicle. They do not use bladed weapons as they fear cutting themselves. They possess some natural weapons like vine whipping tendrils (d7), and can also fire a volley of small needles (3d3). They get a +2% to hit with these natural weapons. Once per day a Botani can atempt a Pollen attack, the pollen causes blindness and nausia to most races. Though as the engineer Leparus from their first cotact was quoted to say "makes a great spicy vegtable dip!" Bergo Kratone-

This attack may be used once per day and is a called shot at -20% to hit. They affect all within 20 feet of them. This attack is unaffective on robotic creatures and those immune to Poisons. The pollen has a burning sensation though is far from toxic.
