Class Type: Diplomat

Like the Ambassador the Merchant is very buisness literate in both legal and illegal buisness. They make a profit selling whatever they can find from space junk, to high tech devices, aswell vehicles,space craft, clothing, and minerals. The Merchants live to make money, their mounds of credits give them a sense of pride and joy. Merchants usually have with them a small Merchant Class ship and a GravCart. The GravCarts are more commonly usd by the street merchants of cities, they use them to store their goods in, while the richer Merchants tend to have a merchant class space craft.

Street Merchants are Merchants who have no shops, they sell their own items to make a profit. They also tend to Migrate from area to area, never staying in one place unless they find it a good buisness center. Where as "Pure Mechants" which ae shop owning merchants own shops in which they sell items in. These items of course arent their own but instead items made by them or sent to them by shipping industries.

SKILLS

+5% to bargaining, deception,and charm skill rolls

Level 4: Smart Shopper: The Merchant has now learned how to charm other SHOP OWNING Merchants into lowering their prices by 20%. At level 6 this skill allows you to get 30% discounts. And at Level 10 this skill allows you to get half off. This skill is works automatically when purchasing items from SHOPS

Level 4 Sly Seller: This skill allows a STREET MERCHANT (A merchant not owning a shop) to decieve the buyer into paying 20% more than the item is worth. At level 6 this skill goes up to decieveing the buyer into buyer items for 30% more, and at level 10 it goes up to 50%. This skill must be rolled for. To hit% begins at 25%. Add +3% to this roll every level you go up.

STAT REQUIREMENTS AND RESTRICTIONS

Minimum of 18 Intellegence (Because Merchants must be witty to out smart a buyer or seller)

Minimum of 15 Technology Know-How (Because a Merchant must know about High Tech gadgets if he wishes to sell them)
