Joking aside, there are one or two -- slightly more, actually -- anime characters who irritate me. Characters who for one reason or another, I want to torture. Here they are, suffering whatever torments I deem appropriate.
And if you have problems with this sort of character-bashing . . . please e-mail me about it. I'll then reply and explain exactly why you are wrong and *I* am right. Anyway, here's my collection of less-than-desirables.

This is Saiounji from Revolutionary Girl Utena. I hate him because he hit Anthy when there was no way she could defend herself from him. From one of the two characters of the series who pride themselves on "chivalry" I find this unacceptable. Also he is mean to the cute little monkey mouse. I don't approve of cruelty to animals, even if they are annoying. Hence, Saiounji is here in my torture chamber being slowly gnawed at by rats. Hopefully, this will teach him compassion for the oppressed.

Here we have Ikari Gendo from Neon Genesis Evangelion. He's a particularly vile and ruthless specimen, responsible for crimes against humanity, his son, and heaven as well. It is my intention to rehabilitate (brainwash) him. For this reason he is being forced to watch Barney ala Clockwork Orange.

And this is Genma Saotome, the father of Ranma, from Ranma 1/2. What sort of father takes his son away from his mother at six years old? What sort of father coats his son in fish and throws him to starving cats? That would be Genma. For this reason, Genma is spending his time hanging from the ceiling being used as a cat-toy by my ghatta Sr'pha. (If you don't know what a ghatta is, read The Seekers Veritas series by Gayle Greeno.)

Finally, this is Ramunes from Knights of Ramune. I only watched one video, but it was enough. Ramunes is a nasty, sadistic villian who spends his time either slapping his female space cadets around or fondling their breasts. Abusing people is bad enough but when they work for you in a militaristic culture and can't escape you . . . that is disgusting! So Ramunes is being used as a punching bag by alter-ego Lorina n'ha Kathya, renunciate of Darkover (Renunciates are also called Free Amazons. To find out more read the Darkover books by Marion Zimmer Bradley.)
That's my collection so far. Scummy, aren't they?
