As for the lovely girl behind the Harpy, she is commonly called Mabry. She is a writer not only of fanfiction, but also of several novels that she hopes to one day publish. Her other hobbies are role-playing (often as the GM, though she prefers not to), reading (any sort of fantasy novel, some science fiction, good historical fiction, rarely mysteries, more rarely classics, occaisionally Lovecraftian horror or stupid Gothic novels, anything that looks interesting at the time, and of course a few manga), watching anime, and torturing her best friends. She also has a bad habit of speaking of herself in the third-person.
My favorite animes are Record of Lodoss War and The Slayers. I also like Outlaw Star, Escaflowne, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Those Who Hunt Elves, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Ranma 1/2, Lost Universe, Blue Seed, Tenchi Muyo, what little I've seen of Fushigi Yugi, even Sailor Moon if nothing else is available.
I don't write much fanfic, and what I do write is usually: a) short and silly, b) short and ooey-gooey and usually sad, c) a songfic, or d) in progress. I do not display in-progress works on my web-page. I have read far too many on other peoples' pages and been irritated when they weren't finished. If I don't have it finished, I won't put it up. I've got two or three long projects which aren't much past the prologue stage. (And there's The Warrior and the Elf which you can read in the Library.) I have more important writing projects than fanfic, so I'm sorry. If I ever finish any of the others, I'll put them up.

Here's a link to "The Pillowbook of Maibrie Aldaran." It actually has nothing to do with my Maibrie Aldaran persona. It is in fact something that I was inspired to write while reading The Pillowbook of Sei Shonagon in a Women Writers of Japan class. I used the Maibrie Aldaran pseudonym in the title, because I thought it sounded better. This is similar to the original book in that it's in no particular order and contains various lists. However, I am very different from Sei Shonagon in many ways, not least of which is the life I have lead and the woman I have been brought up to become. That being said, here's the link:
