The Living Campaigns -
General information - The RPGA sponsors a number of "living campaigns", in which players create their
own characters to play in events at conventions down the street or across the country. As you play in more
events, your character will accumulate a rich personal roleplaying history, as well as experience and treasure.
- Living World of Greyhawk:
The entire world of Greyhawk is the setting for the biggest shared-world campaign ever. Players play characters from
different Greyhawk nations based on where they live. Check out the definitive 3rd edition D&D campaign, and be the
hero in the world of Greyhawk. Visit the
Living Greyhawk Campaign Home Page. Our region, North and South Carolina and Georgia or
"Southeast 1", has been assigned the Greyhawk nation of
Gran March and is administered by a "Triad" of regional gamers who will all be in attendance at Duracon.
A wealth of information about the Gran March region can be found at
The GranMarch Web Site.
You can join the Gran March regional mailing list at
The GranMarch Community.
- Living City is a high fantasy D&D campaign set in and around
the Forgotten Realms city of Ravens Bluff. You can find
campaign background here,
or the most recent character generation rules at the
Living City News Center. The Living City campaign is
administered by Organized Play, Inc. You'll want to register
yourself with Organized Play before the convention, in order to
save yourself some time in getting started later. Register
at
Organized Play's Living City Registration. Registration
forms will also be available onsite at the convention.
- Living Force is a living Star Wars campaign, set in the period
following The Phantom Menace, in a star system called Cularin. You can
find information about the Living Force premiere at the
Star Wars Roleplaying Game Homepage.
- Living Arcanis is a d20 system member-run campaign. Its World of Shattered
Empires combines high fantasy adventure with political intrigue; brains and
guile are as necessary as strength and power. Factions, secret societies and new
slants on races take you to a whole new level. Learn all about it at the
Living Arcanis Web Site
The character generation guidelines and campaign world background are available
for free download on their web site, at
Living Arcanis Downloads.
These free downloads contain enough
information to get you started playing without the need to purchase any
additional materials.
- Living Death is a Gothic horror-style D&D campaign set in an
alternate Earth in the 1890's. Living Death recently converted to D&D 3rd
Edition, so you'll want to convert any existing 2nd Edition character you
might have. Character generation guidelines and
campaign information can be found at the
Living Death Nexus.
- Virtual Seattle is a living Shadowrun campaign, set in and
around an alternate future Seattle. Character generation guidelines
and campaign information can be found at the
Virtual Seattle Index.
