Physical Description:
-Firewire is constructed using the same Fibrocon technology as Maolduin. Other than a basic internal skeleton, central processors, some power and spark interface systems, and external armoring, she is made entirely of wires. These are no ordinary wires, however, for they are much more than mere electrical conduits. Molecularly engineered, they are her muscle fibers, nerves, sensors, cooling system, weapons, and more (most individual wires have special properties) all in one. Though she usually has these wires in very specific configurations, she can exert concious control on each one, dissociating them into a mass of tenticles, or reforming them into completely new shapes (though configuring them into especially useful forms is difficult to do on the fly).
-Robot Mode: Short, thin, muscled but attractive (think Cammy from SF2), Firewire is, as already mentioned, made mostly of wires, almost of of which have clear or translucent red insulation (sort of like USB cables). This insulation is a colloidal substance capable of shape shifting and absorbing huge amounts of heat and stress, and on the outer layers it all sort of gums together into one skin. Thus, instead of looking like a mess of tangled wires, like Maolduin, Firewire has a smooth, red and clear outer surface, with wires visible underneath. The red and clear portions are divided up among structural and muscular elements. Firewire's face, upper torso and hips are the excpetions to this. Each is a separate thick red piece of the colloid, non-translucent, which is a strong but flexable armor. For those that care, she's 34-24-36, c cup. Yes, like most fembots, she has a body that humans would kill for. Anyway, get your mind out of the gutter. He face is attractive and, for lack of a better word, kind of spunky. Sort of a rounded nose, always looks like she's got an attitude, that sort of thing. Except her optics are pure white, which tends to ruin the effect and create a different one of its own. She has black, wire hair that goes halfway down her back in a long ponytail, and two long black antennae pointing up from her forehead like stray hairs.
-Vehicle Mode: Mech Fire Ant- When she transforms, it does not appear mechanical, but rather his wires move around and reform, moving the non-wire portions with them. Her armor sections stretch into the head, thorax, and abdomen of an ant, with most wires contained inside, linking the sections, or forming six legs. Antennae on head remain, and hair reforms into two powerful mandibles. Optics remain white, but are large, round, and have complex lenses.
-Alternate Mode: Forge Cannon- Three sections merge into one big cannon barrel, with abdomen at the business end. Hair/mandibles reform into three short legs at the opposite end which allow for movement and rotation. Inside the wires are organized into a complex array of electromagnets, one set for manipulating molten metals, another for launching large projectiles at large speeds.

Abilities:
-Direct Data Connection: Can interface with any computing device via direct wire connection, max 100gb/sec.
-Magnetic Control: Can create and manipulate magnetic fields with a great deal of precision, and also has highly advanced magnetic sensors. For the most part her magnetic fields are short range and not very powerful, with the exception of in certain weapon configurations listed below. She can, however, do things like read and write on a magnetic hard drive just holding it in her hand.
-Heat Tolerance: Colloidal armor can withstand 10,000 degrees C, is also effective, but less so, against cuts (specialized for monofilament reistance, less effective against other types of blades) and kinetic impact. Wires themselves are constructed, wherever possible, of heat resistant alloys.
-Heat Generation: Certain wires scattered throughout her body can heat up to 8,000 degrees C.
-Forge: In forge cannon mode, can mix and shape metals fed through barrel. Used to create molten projectiles to fire (takes about 1.5 clicks), bladed weapons, and tools (30 clicks to 10 cycles, depending on quality and complexity). Capable of forging complex equipment such as guns, but only by copying from existing models (can take up to 6 megacycles for really large and intricate things).12 cubic ft. size max.
-Efficiency: Her body architecture makes him 3 times as energy efficient as the next Tricon, and almost as efficient as the Maximals.
-Healing: Using nanotechnology, his wires are self sealing- cuts heal and cut off portions can be reattached just by coming back in contact with his body for a few clicks. The scarred wire, however, has very little functionality, and she must go to a CR chamber for real healing.
Weapons:
-Forge Cannon: Can either act as a giant flamethrower, or a rail cannon, firing high speed molten cannonballs. For the second function, iron or steel must be fed into barrel, melted and made into a ball, cone, or pellets. With an assistant, can fire once every three clicks. Alone, has to transform between shots to grab more metal.
-Magnetoflamethrowers: Actually the combination of three weapons which can be used separately. First, your standard high intensity infrared heat ray. Second, a powerful focused magnetic beam capable of exerting 10 tons of force at 30 meters, and capable of attracting or propelling a metallic object. Third, a squirtgun, shooting either fire suppressant (for the odd occaision when she actually wants to put out a fire), lighter fluid, or a highly flammable ferroliquid (liquid suspension of magnetite that displays magnetic qualities). Combine the first and the third and you have a standard flamethrower. Combine all three and you get a beam of flames moving with a force and speed comparable to most bullets. Rare is the armor that can withstand that. Works constant beam or rapidfire, 500m max range, most effective under 50m, can run out of fuel. One in the palm of each hand.
-Flaming Fist: There are heat generating wires embedded in her hands and feet, allowing her to burn through things, or add some extra spice to punches and kicks.
-Monomolecular Filaments: Almost the exact same sort as compose Final's hair, these have the same effect, cutting through just about anything except herself, Maolduin and Final (all have similar protective coatings). Arguement rages on and off about who stole the technology from who. There are some of these in each arm, which are usually used by flattening a hand into a plane, with a monofilament on the edge as a blade, thus creating a thick knife or thin shortsword. Hair also composed mostly of monofilaments.
-Mandables (ant mode): Combine powerful muscle fibers with monofiament edges to create a powerful grabbing, cutting, and digging tool.
-Wire Strength: Each wire has a "muscle" layer, a movement mechanism that works molecularly in a mannet similar to muscle. This is what he uses to move her arms, legs, face, etc, but he can also treat each wire as a separate appendage. This gives her incredible dexterity, useful for all sorts of things, like strangling, grabbing, crushing. One wire around your neck would be the equivelent of someone trying to strangle you with their pinky finger. However, she has hundreds of them. Used to perform some incredible martial arts moves. Rumored to have other uses as well...
Equipment:
-Built In: Many of her wires, or wire tips, have special functions. These include data ports, scanners, cameras, microphones, radio antennas, and subspace pocket generators.
Personality: Firewire is the answer to that age old question of what happens when you combine a cool headed, suspicious sometime sadomasichist espionage and communications expert with a cheery, overenthusiastic, reckless girl obsessed with fire and blowing stuff up. In one head. That's right, Lightspeed and Impact, former Vehicons. Like many bots with fused sparks that aren't all that alike, Firewire will go from one extreme to the other at times, but more often she combines the two into a sort of giddy brilliant dark borderline insanity. Evil with a smile. When hacking, she likes to do things like orchestrate giant overpowering distributed denial of service attacks, all to mask one little tiny intrusion that plants a virus that'll be dormant for months. When battling, she likes to score it like a video game, with points being earned for defeating enemies, causing collateral damage, and doing it in the least possible time. Actually, she sees just about everything as a big video game. It satisfies the need of one side of her to cause rampant destruction, and the other side to see everything as a giant conspiracy of some sort. No, she hasn't seen "The Matrix," and we can all thank whatever God we have for that. Socially, she is very friendly, sometimes flirty, but kind of detached. Probably at some point she'll start looking for a boyfriend, but not until she resolves her two components on that part- it is one of the slower issues for her two sparks to get in tune about. Most of the time when she thinks about the subject it consists of Lightspeed and Impact going "eww!" at each other's past exploits. Plus just a tiny bit of unresolved jealousy. Otherwise, though, Firewire is surprisingly coherent for a fused spark bot of such different sparks, mostly, it seems, because her former selves were good friends.
History:
Lightspeed:
Lightspeed is on her fifth life or so now. She began life in the early middle part of the Maximal-Predacon stage of Cybertronian life, a Predacon drifter employed as a crewman on several Predacon ships, ranging from transport vessels to pirate ships to mercenary warships. On one very convoluted mission gone awry, she unwillingly acquired the datatracks of the Decepticon Shrapnel, which promptly led to several stellar cycles of insanity, two failed memory wipes, and finally the purging of the offending data. A modified persona emerged, however. She took on a lightning bug beast mode, had newfound talents for communication and espionage, a strange sort of Decepticon nostalgia, and a sadistic streak. Not long after, she joined the Predacon Secret Police. She was a star pupil in training, and a very competent officer, though she did not move up very far in the ranks, because she preferred to actually do her job instead of spending time plotting and backstabbing. Also she had a bad habit of second guessing orders. So some commanders trusted her, some stuck her on boring routine tasks, and some diverted her to other divisions, such as the Predacon military. She had several abusive relationships in this period (she did the abusing), a few supportive but disasterous ones, and then there was Prism. That was.. well just go see the Pred Board, or any of the several General Board threads they have sullied. Though strictly speaking this Lightspeed is not from the same reality as the one on the Pred or Ult boards, she did have somewhat similar experiences with many of the bots there, including Prism.
Cut past a 100 stellar cycle gap where no data exists (rumor has it that she started a family, perhaps with Prism, with many wacky adventures practically worthy of their own rpg board, but that rumor was started by the town drunk)
She survived the Virus and was reformatted into a lightning bug Maximal with impressive communications abilities. During this period she was a rogue Maximal, uncomfortable with the philosophy of the others, but also hateful of Megatron for destroying Cybertronian
civilization. After a few stellar cycles of that, however, she was captured and spark removed.
With the oncoming threat of Unicron, Megatron needed more help, and he remembered Lightspeed's
resourcefulness. He gave her a new body, along with tapes. A psychic conversation with Megatron as her spark was being chosen conviced her that Megatron had now seen the value of keeping other sentient life by the performance of his generals, and could
potentially repopulate Cybertron under Vehicon rule. She, in turn, convinced him of her loyalty. From then on, both sides kept their side of the deal.. um, oh, wait, no. Well Lightspeed stayed fairly loyal, anyway, mainly because she didn't think there was anyone worth defecting to. She served well, but didn't always get along with her superior officers, except perhaps for Blades (that same fool started some rumor that she had unprofessed feelings for him. Bah, I say.), and didn't have many friends besides her tapes and Impact- partly because mortality was so high among Vehicons.
Impact: (Most of this c/o Psyckogod)
Impact was born as a Predacon insect on one of the colony worlds. As a colony girl aiding her parents in terraforming and atmosphere processing on an organic world, Impact grew up as the proverbial farm girl. She escaped the good ol' bumpkin stereotype via a love of and constant intake of Cybertronian and Earth pop culture, most notably heavy metal music and video games, shooters in particular. Impact knew only sparingly of Cybertron politics and life, but knew she wanted to go there. She joined the Predacon military at a young age and left to Cybertron to participate in conflicts against the Maximals, where she showed an excellent skill for weapons and demolitions. Her penchant for bangin' metal and explosion-heavy games lent itself to bombs and the detonating of said bombs, and to this day, it is said that she was present for one too many booms- some sources say she was always naturally enthusiastic, others say the constant kinetic impact drove her a little crazy. If anything, she got a lot more adrenaline day-to-day. However, as much as she loved fighting the good fight, she more often than not disagreed with some of her superiors' morals. If she was provoked or attacked, she would fight until the last Maximal had been blown into free-floating atoms, sure- but mowing down civilians, blowing up non-military personnel, killing innocents, did not sit right with her. At all. This disagreement with policy led to numerous discipline problems, and after the umpteenth and a half down time in the brig, something in Impact's already shaken and stirred head went snap.
Using some spare wires, her lighter, an antique can of hairspray and a guitar pick, Impact blew open the wall of her cell and escaped out into Cybertron, sick to death of Predacons and their politics. She could have suffered criminal eviction, but for Predacons, stuff like that was fairly run of the mill, and Impact was considered too much of a discipline pain to worry about anyway. The Preds would come to regret that decision. Impact got hooked up with an ancient Decepticon known as Equilibrium, who led a terrorist faction known as the Reclamation. The Reclamation was dedicated to the resurgence of original Decepticons on Cybertron, to overthrow their puny Predacon progeny. How Impact was led to join this faction is unknown, but it is believed it involved not being bored and the promise of money. With the Reclamation, Impact gained notoriety for making bombing runs on Predacon and Maximal military facilities alike. True to her resolve, Impact blew up lots of stuff and injured a lot of soldiers, but rarely killed unless necessary. She was wanted by both Maximal and Predacon governments along with the rest of her comrades, but like all fun things, this would come to an end. When Megatron descended upon Cybertron with his stasis virus, Impact was quickly deactivated and taken by the Vehicon drones.
Impact's name was researched in the Cybertron media database, and when finding out what a hellion she had been, Megatron elected to have her spark taken and placed into a new Vehicon shell. With updated weapons and demolitions training, new ordinance and armor, and even- gasp!- the knowledge of how to defuse explosives, Impact became an even better demolitionist and also blossomed as a weapons expert. She doesn't know much about making new weapons, but can load, aim, and fire just about any weapon from a Vehicon-issue Mark IV tetryon disruptor cannon to a slingshot. She was activated first at a middle of nowhere post, due to low enemy activity, then was called to the central force to quell renewed Maximal resistance. Not long after, she entered a very loving, very sex filled relationship with Blades.
Both:
As the Vehicons were finally defeated by the Maximals, Megatron held on to his generals' sparks when he could, which wasn't very often.. in fact pretty much only in the case of Lightspeed and Impact. Their sparks were with him when he was on a Predacon ship transported ahead in time and to an alternate universe, and later he managed to find a few protoforms on the ship and start reviving the two Vehicons. Complications arose, however, and he was unable to complete the task before more pressing issues came up. Later, Maolduin discovered the sparks and protoforms, but it seemed that at some point the stasis fields on the sparks had been less than perfect, and both had degraded somewhat, so that the only way to salvage them was to fuse them both within one protoform, which Maolduin then programmed with extensive computer knowledge and his Fibrocon technology, and activated. He expected a grateful daughter/minion/love slave. Instead, he got Firewire.
