It was a few years ago......I was idling at my bedroom, when my friend just came in and said, "Hey, let me borrow your Super Famicom, I wanna to try out this game!!" RPG game?? Sure, I always loves to watch my brother or my friends playing RPG games since young, like Eternal legend, Breath of fire 2, Final fantasy VI, Secret of evermore..........Oh wow, so now what game is this??? Hmmm?? Chrono Trigger, you say??? At that age, I was too young to understand what it means!! Does it matter?? Just play and you shall see what it is!!!
SHOCK AT THE FIRST SIGHT
OOOOOOHHHHH!!! Now what is this??? Songs that caught the deepest of your heart, warming and welcoming graphics, cool-looking characters and OHH, It's unbelievable!!!! It is just too great!!!! That was my first reaction.
STILL THE SHOCK GROWS
Chrono trigger just shocks me the more I watched my friend playing it. The story was very well-written and organized. Best of all, it is very original!!!! You wiil never found such a nice game again. To me it's the best game ever. You can't match it with any other games!!!!!

If that's all, I won't create this review for this game!!! Is just that, TOO MANY THINGS to say. Chrono Trigger able to touched many people hearts!! Why??

{ EXCELLENT BATTLE SYSTEM }
Chrono Trigger battle system is special. It is not so confusing like FF7 or 8, yet very special compare to FF6 or other RPGs!!! Why?? Tech is a very good answer!! Tech is a combination of magic and skill. Different characters mastered different abilities, which make everyone special!! Besides that, double tech and triple tech even made the battle system more interesting. In other RPG games, different character combinations will not affect so much. As long as there's someone strong in attack and someone good in healing. However in Chrono Trigger. Everyone plays apart, because different team produced numerous different effects. Crono has powerful techs but he will be even powerful if you combine him with Ayla or Frog. Marle might be strong in healing, but she only able to heal a person, if you combine her with Frog or Robo, she will be very useful!!! If you choose poor combination, you will have a hard time!!! Chrono Trigger battle system is cool!!!
[ ORIGINAL STORYLINE ]
I loves this game storyline!! Time travel can be SOOO amusing in this game. Everything you did intertwined from one era to another era. Though sometimes it can be a little exaggerating. ( A jerky can change a whole family character for another 400 years?? ) Well, still I feel the story is very well-written and it is very well-organized. Many interesting side stories to spice up the main story.
[ COOL CHARACTERS ]
Yes, characters are very important in any games. You will like certain games if you like one or more characters from that game. Crono is my favourite character in Chrono Trigger and I feel he is the coolest RPG hero ever!!! Akira Toriyama ( Dragon ball artist ) just loves to produce cool guys, eh?? Ok, not only talking about how handsome or how pretty a character can be, the character of each character also counts!!! One thing that I always like about RPG is the story behind each character, which Chrono Cross failed to do. Chrono Trigger managed to put all 7 characters with different characteristics, different past, different way of talking, and even different era!!! ( Except for Crono, Marle and Lucca ) Everyone has their own story!!! However the fact that Crono didn't talk in the game, made me a little disappointed!!! I can roughly list down everyone character, except for this guy!!! AWWW!!! ( I hope PSX English version to come soon, so that I can know more about him!!!
[ COOL TECH DESIGNS ]
Though the graphic is not as good as nowadays RPG games, but the magic/skill design still surpass many games!!! I just loves to see ice swords, beautiful antidope 3, cool X-strike and many more. I just find that the designs of this magic/skill are so good. Not like nowadays games that put too much efforts on graphics, that they didn't put much effort on the design. ( Feel sad about this!! )
[ THE BEST MUSICS EVER ]
I love this game, and I LOVE the musics. Chrono Trigger is the first game that provide musics that touched the deepest of my heart. The Chrono Trigger opening music just made you more eager to venture CT world!!! The world map song is so peaceful and touchy. Chrono Trigger battle theme almost shocked me, as that was my first time to hear such a song to be played as battle theme. The castle song just tell you how great a Guardia castle is. When Lavos appeared, the theme can incresed your heartbeat. When you opened the sealed door, the theme leaves you with mistery. Hey, I almost unable to find any musics to hate in this game!!! All of them are placed correctly to build your mood in the game.
[ MULTIPLE ENDINGS ]
Hey, who say that if you die from the battle, you are considered lose??? Not in Chrono Trigger!!! There are more than 10 endings in this game. Even if you lose, you can get an ending too!!! You can even get an ending without our hero, Crono back. Or strange, stupid endings. There are many reasons for you to replay. One of them is Chrono Trigger special feature, multiple endings!!!
[ NEW GAME + ]
I feel the game is too short, everyone thinks the same. A great adventure but a little to fast to finish???? Chrono Trigger managed to cover this weak point with adding new game+, A new system that every RPG gamers wants every RPG to have it. You might get tired to replay a game, as the items, treasures, levels that you built up, just gone as you replay!! New game+ just made you want to replay not only once, but many times!!! You can even collect 99 rainbow if you replay 99 times. ( Wonder anyone that crazy?? ) @_@
[ MORE AND MORE ]
Oh, there are too many to say, really. Chrono Trigger had many that surpass many other games!!! Now what weakpoints do Chrono Trigger had?????

The game is too short : Yeah it is!!! But still New game+ made it even longer than any other games!!!
The game is too easy : That's true!!! But getting all secrets are not that easy too!!
It has a poor graphics : Yeah, if you compared to nowadays games, but at that period ( 1995 ), that standard of graphic is considered to be the best!!
it leaves too many mysteries : To me, I don't considered it a weakness, as I like a game that leaves mysteries, made you want to replay again and again!! Don't you think it's cool!! Anyway, many mysteries are answered in Chrono Cross. ( though Chrono cross too, bring even more mysteries!! )
Too many side stories : Isn't that cool!!! You can get to know more of the characters past and one thing that I like, hey the game is getting longer!!! Haha!!

Nah, if I keep on speaking, isn't it the same as I am telling you that Chrono Trigger had no weakpoints??? Well, it has, but they are almost none!!
[ MISCELLANEOUS ]
This is what I discover myself. Chrono Trigger possess both RPG and action RPG has!! Why?? Look, the enemies are visible!!! Sometimes you might eager to know how the story goes, or maybe you are tired of fighting those enemies, SO you will try to keep a distance from them. However it is not as easy as saying, you see, those enemies/monters are just like magnet, looking for you to battle. ( Looking for death to be precise ^^ ) SO you gotta to have certain skill to avoid those enemies/monsters !!! HEY, isn't it like action RPG????
Another discoveries!! What make Chrono Trigger so easy??? Yeah there are many reasons for this, but there's one special reason, which is the link to end of time!!!! Hey, you can change your characters any time you want!! Doesn't really have to be on the save point!!! Look, if Marle is exhausted, you can easily change for other members which is still fresh to fight!!! SO, this caused the battle to be easier than ever, eh???
[ CONCLUSION ]
Did I have to make it clear to you after I had tell you so much???? HAHAHA, pretty obvious, right?? Chrono Trigger is the greatest game ever!!!!! YEAH!!!!
