Taig tacks this scroll to the boards with a sigh...

Jroff snaps his fingers, summoning his scribe. Suddenly a wiry, white haired, old man appears before him with a smile on his wrinkled face.

Jroff sits quietly within his guild halls listening to his scribe, Xan, tell stories of his past.. Meanwhile, in the guild...

"Hello there, Jroff" the man says as he offers a bow.

"Why...Hello Xan..please sit, make yer self comfortable." Replies Jroff as he stands and returns the bow.

Xan takes a seat across the table from Jroff. "How may I be of service..?" he asks as he gets comfortable in the high backed leather chair.

Jroff sighs softly and pauses for a moment, as if under a trance, then blinks and speaks..."Xan..." he says "You have "served" me in one way or another since ya found me in the forest that day many wears ago..." he pauses, then continues "...I was what, fifteen or sixteen years old...?"

Xan's eyes seem to wander for a second then he replies "Sixteen, it was two years after yer mother and father had passed. Tis a blessin' from the gods I found ya when I did. For I fear that ya wouldn't have made it much longer out there on your own."

Jroff blinks as the look on his face turns to one of shock. "So that's why I don't remember anything from the time my mother passed in my arms till the day ya found me."

Xan nods slowly. "Yes..." he replies with a slight pause. "When I had found ya...it was like ya were still in a state of shock from the dramatic event of yer parents passin'.” He shifts in his chair getting comfortable again.

"From what I could tell ya hadn't eaten anythin' in weeks..I was shocked ta see ya still alive."

Jroff's face falls a bit as a slight frown forms...he then speaks in a , grim, monotone voice..."So no one knows what happened to me from the time I wandered inta the woods after my mother died...till ya found me. Only the person that watched over me, if anyone..." His face slowly changes to a quizzical look as he looks up at Xan...

"Tell me everythin' that ya remember about that day...and I mean EVERYTHIN'...!! Jroff takes a deep breath as he calms him-self down and starts to pace again, this time his full attention on Xan.

Xan then pulls a pipe from his robes...lights it and extinguishes the match..."Well..." As Xan speaks, Jroff's eyes fade to black, then brighten to white as the gem in the back of his hand begins to glow.

Jroff looks to Xan, his eyes glowing white, and leaps over the table, leaving Xan in a heap. Moments later the Rogues Guild Vault Guards start to scream "Jro.." , but their voices trail off.

Taig shouts '*Taig sits above the guild entrance listening to the events*'

Suddenly Jroff emerges from the vault with an evil smile on his face.

As another guild guard hears the ruckus, he runs to the guild vault to find it half empty.

Jroff shouts '*Jroff sits counting his loot from the guild vault...*'

Taig shouts '*Having found out what happened Taig disappears into the shadows to find Jroff. Knowing the rogue's ways, Taig begins to search the most secret places only known to rogues.*'

Jroff shouts: '*Jroff's eyes get big as he gets about half way through counting the money.*'

Taig shouts '*exhausting everyplace he can think of, Taig sits outside his guilds gates thinking. Taig suddenly jumps up and shouts AHA..!!"as he disappears into the shadows..*'

Quietly sneaking through the shadows Taig spots Jroff in the corner of a dark alley, and watches him closely.

Jroff Shouts: '*As he finishes counting the gold, Jroff begins putting it back in his pack.*'

Taig shouts '*as Jroff puts the last bits of gold in his pack, Taig leaps from the shadows behind him and with one quick swipe...*'

Jroff has been slain!

Taig watches as Jroff's head rolls along the ground to a stop against a building.

Jroff's corpse disappears in a puff of smoke!

Taig picks up the pack full of gold and throws it over his horse.

“What a shame... From what I heard he was a good rogue.” Taig sighs slightly and wanders off to take the gold back to the gulild vault.

Taig hands the gold back to the guild guards and bows before disappearing.
