Night

“..Nothing to say!”

Rebekh just pouted.

“Where are my boots?”

“Oh! Over here!” Rebekh fished out a pair of boots from behind the bed and swung them side to side a mischievous grin on her face before giggling. “But! You have to come get them.”

“….” Petty just sat and refused to give ground.

“Oh phooey! Your no fun at all!” she giggled slightly before throwing the boots across to Petty who caught them with a little effort and strenuously started to put them on.

“When did you get that mark?” ask Rebekh

“Which mark?”

“The mark on the back of your left leg, I saw it when I removed your boots.”

“..I don’t know, and it is none of your business.”

“It is pretty! But, looked like a branding mark.”

“…..”

“..Ok.”

“I need my top.”

“You only have one?

“Yes.”

“Oh my! That will not do! I will have to go find some clothes for you.”

“..Just give me my top”

“But it is torn and dirty and covered in blood!” Rebekh scowled and stuck out her tongue

“So? I need a top.”

“I don’t know, I kinda like you without a top” Giggled Rebekh “the make shift bandage is sooooo you!”

Petty looked down at the make shift bandage made from the arms of Rebekhs dress, he wasn’t going to go out like this..

Developing vanity now?

Petty shrugged off his own inner critic and fixed as stern a look as he could muster in his weakened state on Rebekh.

“My Top, now!”

“Oh oh ok!, keep your hair on! Pretty hair, I wouldn’t mind having it for myself” she teased.

Petty groaned, he would have to take sometime just sorting out his hair again, long flowing hair just wasn’t that practical.

“And where are you going to be going, leaving me all here alone?” Rebekh tried to add a tone of desperation to her voice, which seemed to have no effect at all on Petty.

Petty sighed, he wasn’t going to leave her here with Shadow.

And the hours pasted, Rebekh many a time tried small talk to Petty, who was contented on just writing in his book and as the sun started it’s descent in the sky. Rebekh said her good byes, which dragged on longer than Petty had wished and even more to Pettys displeasure promised she would visit a lot.
