On her first visit to the valley, the evil spirit cast a spell, causing the clear lake to overflow. It flooded most of the areas of the valley. A stone tablet containing ancient greek writing was brought out and it was declared that whoever could decode it was the Choosen One who could stop the flood. Flare was able to read it and he yelled it's chant out from the mountain top. The flood immediatly stopped. After a difficult fight, the spirit left but swore to return.
