Background
Jubal was born to a poor family, and during his early life, often had to steal or beg to help support them. Once he was old enough he took up a more legitimate trade, gaining some skill with weapons and doing odd jobs in the countryside near his village.

Nothing much happened until one day when he was 19, and he was hired to regain a supposedly stolen treasure from a supposedly evil dragon's hoard. He was unlucky, and got caught by the extremely powerful and old silver dragon owning it. The dragon was good-natured (or perhaps just not hungry) as it decided to spare him- but for its own reasons, it decided to put a magical geas on him, to seek the Qualistene... perhaps considering it a suitable punishment, as the chance of any mortal finding and reconstructing the ancient artifact was slim. But to even the odds a bit, it invested a tiny bit of its spirit into him...

He looks like a human/dragon hybrid- he has pointed ears, small wings (they can be covered by a cloak, and usually are), and a short tail.

If he and pals are getting slaughtered, he can pull a deus ex machina and turn into a small silver dragon, but it's temporary and he'll be incapaciated afterwards.
