Creating A Character
Alrighty, this is just a simple page to help beginners (and intermidiates) in creating a character.
Try to use these to the best of your advantage to make a well rounded character. Consider each aspect of his/her life, why he/she act the way he/she does. What happened in his/her childhood, whats his/her favorite food, ect...
Remember, these are not rules, their here to help

LIFEPATH
remember to consider the race and origon of your character... a Mage's lifepath would have been much different than a warriors
Basic Personality
Is your Character: Shy, secretive, rebellious, antisocial, violent, arrogant, proud, aloof, moody, rash, headstrong, friendly and outgoing *takes a deep breath and continues* stable and serious, silly, fluff-headed, sneaky, deceptive, intellectual, detached, picky, fussy, nervous...? *those are just some examples*
What Do You Value Most?
Material possesions? Money, honor, friendship, your word, honesty?? Love? Power? Having a good time? Vengance? A person?? A loved one? Family? All these make up your characters persona.
World View
Does your character think like... "Every person is a valuable individual."?? or "I like almost everyone." "No one understands me." "People are sheep who need to be led." "I'm neutral to most people." "People must earn my respect." "No free rides here." "People are untrustworthy. Be careful who you depend on." "No one's going to hurt me again." "People are wonderful!" "People are scum and should be wiped out." (Bah! those are BAD examples! =^^=)
Early Background
Think about your family's status in society, were you poor? Rich? Possibly nobility? Did you barely scrape by? Middle class?
Childhood Events
Anything particularily traumitizing happen? Did you have a boring childhood? huh huh? *poke* did you have a childhood at all? *hey, you could be some funky Hybrid or something... I dunno* You could have been betrayed by a childhood friend or relative and lost everything you had, you could have been exiled; you might be returning under an alias, murders might have been commited before your young eyes, considered to have some kind of unique birthright, ability or status. Your childhood might be unknown- you grew up alone, never knowing your true heritage, or your not the real thing-you're adopted
Life events
What happened after your childhood, leading up to the current state of your story and place in the RPG.
Friends and Enemies
Uhm... explains itself. If you have more than one Character *remember,the limit is TWO characters PER PERSON* If you know people in the RPG and your intertwining your characters, remember to inform THEM! =^^=
Love and War
Do/did you have an active *ahem* love life? Were you at war with your lovers family... whatever. You know what I mean. Was your relationship *If you even HAD one/any* good/bad/frowned upon??
Current Situation
Err... pretty much explains itself.
Current Outlook
Do you hate life? Love it? Want revenge? Dont want to take part in saving Midnight?? ect. ect. ect.
CHARACTERISTICS
Complications
Pretty much things that might be holding your character back, like a fear of heights or the dark or giant pink fluffy bunnies or something.... or maybe they were captured and are being looked for...?
Psycological Complications
*incriminating look* Is your character CRAZY? ^_^ Something along those lines. Is your character obessed with power? Creeped out by Gully Dwarves?? ^_^ is your character absent minded, bipolar, does he/she have delusions, is he/she a masochist, any phobias or paranioa? possibly a split personality
Personality Traits
I keep feeling like Im just repeating myself... uhm, just basic personality traits... whatever... is your character an airhead,a coward, bad tempered? obessed? Shy? Stubborn? Berzerker? unlucky? any compulsive behaviors?
Physiological Limitations/Social Limitations
Age, dyslexia, epilepsy, missing limb, reduced hearing, vonruble, and yet again:compulsive behaviors... ect, can all be Physiological limitations, or they could have a secret identity, a bad reputation, opressed, distinctive features, an outsider, whatever... which are social limitations
Enemies: Hunted and Watched
Uhm...explains itself...
Responsibilites
Yet again, explains itself. Is your character binded by a promise or spell? Does he/she have family or friends to take care of? A shop or Inn to run? Code of honor? Vow?
SKILLS
Everyman/Basic Skills
Basic skills... dish washing, eating... ^_^ Are basicly known by everyone in every time period.
Talents/Perks and Privileges
Any special talents er...perks and privileges?? Does your character know Karate? Can he/she swordsfight? Is he/she a magic user? ect.
Racial Skills
No, im not being racial when I say this, but some races DO have different skills. Ill bet your Dwarven character is alot better at carving than your human one! =^^= And your Kender can pick a lock better than your dragon...ect..
Gear and Equipment
You just MIGHT wanna mention this, so we know what your character is equiped with, and what the other RPGers are facing. ^_^
