Humans and elves sometimes wed, the elf attracted to the human's eergy and the human to the elf's grace.  These marriages end quickly as elves count years because a human's life is so brief, but they leave an enduring legacy - half-elven children.

Half-Elven Racial Traits

• Medium-size
• Base speed 30'
• Immunity to magical sleep spells and effects, +2 racial saving throw bonus versus enchantment spells
• Low-light Vision: ability to see twice as far as a human in starlight, moonlight, torchlight, and similar conditions of poor illumination
• Elven Blood: for all special abilities, half-elves are considered elven (exapmle weapons, magic items)
• +1racial bonus to Listen, Search and Spot checks.  Passing within 5' of a secret door grants elves a check even if not actively searching
• Automatic languages - Elven, Common.  Bonus languages - any (except secret languages such as Druidic)
• Favored class: Any
