"Did you hear something, Zkoth?" the cheetah-man Ivo took a moment from reading his book to ask his bronze-black dragon.

Yes, the dragon replied. Sounded like something crashing nearby, why don't you go take a look? "You have wings, you go take a look." Fine... the bronzy-black dragon flapped up into the air, above the trees and soon returned. You should find this one interesting, Ivo. She's a cheetah-girl...but...she doesn't seem to be quite 'chickenshit'. She's tearing apart the machine that crashed. Perhaps a decent candidate too...if she can curb her temper enough to be patient with the dragonet.

Ivo stood and stretched. "Then perhaps we should look."

Yes, but you can walk. It's not far.

The walk really wasn't far, and soon the cheetah-man and his dragon entered into the clearing--and some sort of coil-type piece whizzed past Ivo's head causing him to jump with a slight hiss.

"URGH! Stupid piece of junk!" Kami was yelling, tearing the machine apart and throwing the pieces every which way. Ivo ducked around the thrown pieces leaving Zkoth at the edge of the clearing and tapped the cheetah/falcon-girl on the shoulder. Kamikaze spun around with a hiss intending to slash him across the face, but he anticipated her action and caught her by the wrist. "Who are you and what'd'ya want?" she demanded, baring her fangs.

"Ivo, rider of Night Bronze Zkoth. Who're you and what happened here?"

"...Kamikaze...and time-traveler...you ride that big dumb lizard?" Kami announced rather rudely, waving her hand towards the dark bronze.

Zkoth snarled angrily, his eyes taking on a red tinge. The Katri's degrading of the dragon annoyed Ivo as well.

"It's not like you would be able to do well enough to bond with one of those 'big dumb lizards'," he snarled. "After all, they only pick people who they deem worthy. Hardly dumb."

"I bet I could, but I was told they're dangerous," Kami spat.

"Oh yes...we are dangerous. But you don't seem to just look like a butterfly, either. So why don't you prove that you can Impress a dragon?"

"If you can do it so can I. Fine, I'll stand," Kamikaze wasn't exactly sure what she was getting herself into, but it was worth a try...right? Let's see if they weren't really just 'big dumb lizards'. Maybe she'd get some decently intelligent company.
