When Synic was in his mother’s womb, his status was declared that he was going to be a dead child once he came out. But on that day, July 21 AR, he was born, dead in fact in some eyes. Yet, his mother was so desperate to have a son to raise as her own that she took him to the remnants of what is know as Danex City of the Dead. There she took him to the temple near the estate where the Tainted Thornes resided. At once the keeper of the temple demanded that she gave her life for her son’s. Thus it was done and he then said aloud, “We have a dead man walking.” After that event, Dellan Deaththorne (AKA Blackthorne) came to retrieve Synic before he would die again by evil spirits in the area. He showed Kiriya Shadowthorne for her approval of the young Tainted Thorne and she agreed with him as usual. Through his younger years, he was taught how to hate the Pure Thornes and was brought up on that they must be destroyed. However, when Dellan, his adoptee died, he was heartbroken, and his hated grew. On the next day, Kiriya gave him Dellan’s medallion. When Synic received it, the medallion was a dull gray in colour, but throughout the years, it would change to black to match Synic’s heart. Like any other normal child, Synic was sent to school to better his knowledge of the world that surrounded him. He was sent to Maxima City, where the Pure Thornes held their activities, unaware that the Tainted Thornes still were in existence. One day at school, one of the Thornes, Treylis Silverthorne began to take an interest upon the young Thorne. Shortly, they were lovers, but that would not last long at all. One day, Kiriya came and made Synic aware of his lover, so he listened to her and soon betrayed his love by disposing of her. He discovered the power of the medallion then. It changed colour once he killed her. Instead of listening to his heart, he listened to someone that was tainted by corruption. The medallion became black, like the colour of his heart, and Synic himself began shifting into corruption held by his daemon inside. He soon surrendered to it, but has not died because of the stabilizing the Tainted Thornes have over it.
