The Makzeltashi Alain'uim (Old Tongue, roughly translates as 'Clan They Forgot'). is a clan
composed mainly of mundane kats. Any species is welcomed. The Makzeltashi Alain'uim
territory is located in the forests of south-west Kyisna, though they have no definate
territory boundaries.
Due to the relative rarity of mundanes, the clan is quite small, with roughly 20 members.
The Makzeltashi Alain'uim do not, most of the time, actively seek out new members, though
there is a steady, slow trickle of new kats arriving, mostly having heard rumours of the
clan. The current Elders are Sinavar, a male Desert and the clan's founder, and Ollumphe,
a female Tundra. Despite their power they do not throw their weight around - this is
supposed to be a kind and accepting society. If a decision is to be made, they will take
into account the opinions of ever kat in the clan - the structure of the clan is somewhat
like that of the Sky kats. Given that the clan is composed of kats of many different
species, though, tolerance is stressed throughout. Give that the members are outcasts,
they tend to have little trouble accepting this, though some of the more warlike breeds
such as Marshes and Plains may have some difficulty adjusting. These kats will frequently
act as hunters or guards for the clan.
The Makzeltashi Alain'uim are generally friendly and have no problems with non mundanes -
given, that is, that the non-mundane has no problems with them. An intolerant kat will be
driven away from the clan lands, but they will not be killed. They will not accept
non-mundanes as permanant members, though they may stay for a few days or so, for example
to rest on a long journey. These non-mundanes are then told to pass on word to any other
mundanes they should meet - this helps knowledge of the clan spread. The Makzeltashi
Alain'uim also accept other outcasts, including cripples and leucrottas, though the bulk of
the clan is, and will probably continue to be, mundanes.
