Anatomy
Teknikats mainly resemble the cats of Earth and share many of their features. Most species have long legs, making them usually slightly taller than their body length, not counting the tail. The two exceptions to this are the Tundra kats, which have very short legs like a dachshund, and the Isle kats, who are slightly longer than they are tall, like an ordinary cat.

Kats also have unusual paws, as with most species the seperate toes are not visible, giving the paw a mitten-like appearance. They do have the seperate toe bones, but the flesh is fused together so that the toes are not visible. The exception to the rule are the Old Mystics and the Isle kats. Old Mystics have vaguely visible toes, although they are still fused, while the Isle kats have true, seperate toes. Kats do not have dewclaws, with the exception of the Plateau kats. All kats except Marsh kats have retractable claws.

The Importance of a Teknikat's Tail
The tail of a kat is extremely important, be it female or male. A kats tail is their hand. Think of an elephants trunk, which have over 200,000 muscles. They can knock over a tree, or pick up a dime. A Teknikats tail is ten times what an elephants trunk is. A kats tail has over 2 million muscles, making them extremely dexterous. They can write with their tail, draw, paint, wield weapons, you think of what a hand does, their tail can do. They almost move individual hairs. The fact that the kats tail is fluffy means nothing. In fact, the fur helps to grip. A kats tail is its life. If it is cut off, or it is born without a tail, they are either killed, or kill themselves. Kat tails are nearly twice as long as their body, sometimes longer, sometimes shorter, but usually in that area.
