Adena StarFire had been warned not to come here. There were slayers, But she knew there was at least one 'Good Vampire' here. Turned to fighting the evil of the Mortal races, she tensed. Standing outside the Sunnydale High School, her brown-eyed gaze fell upon two people on a bench, one asleep. The other, she felt, a slayer. Not knowing how she felt this, she turned and walked - quickly - down the sidewalk. Faith watched her, through narrowing eyes. She would have to tell the others.
Adena stood perfectly still, if not a bit tense. She pulled off her sunglasses, lucid brown eyes staring at her. Suddenly, she relaxed.. as Faith tried to jump at her, she moved to one side..
"Slayer. I dun mean any harm."
She smiled at the irony, remembering those fatal last words. Simply stood there, ready to fight if necessary, to defend herself. But most of all, ready to talk. "I don't mean any harm."
Faith spun around, barely missing the vamp, "What do you mean no harm?" Oh no, not another GOOD vampire!" Faith shook her finger at Adena and commandrf "Explain yourself!"
She giggled softly, watching Faith's reaction.. " I was right? There are more 'Good Vampires'?" Her eyes go into a dreamy, milky brown. "They were right.."
Faith yelled, "Explain yourself!" again.
"Oh, Yeah. Great time for introductions.. I'm Adena StarFire. Where shall I start?"
Suddenly two men emerged from the shadows. One came in front with a fast trot, the other one a little further in the back, as if approaching with caution. The street was quiet and even if you listened really hard it appeared that none of the two men made any sound. They walked in the middle of the road, making sure to stay out of the streetlight. Then the man that walked last stopped. His head turned at Adena and Faith, motioning them from a distance and then he went on walking. He caught up with the first man, and made him aware of the two who stood in the middle of the road.
"Shit man, she's a vampire, and the other one's a slayer right? What is this, some kind of freak party?" One of them exclaimed with disgust.
The other man shook his head and gave a nod at the sign on the school building, which was in the dark, and not readable for those who have normal vision. The other man laughed loudly. "Now, why would that change anything?" he said with mild amusement. Then he turned to Adena and Faith, "I will probably meet you little girls again later this night." With a bow he takes his leave, the other man following behind.
Adena's brow furrowed, Eyeing the man that addressed them. She then turned to Faith.. "They're good.. right?"
"I don't know." She pointed to Adena. "You know them?"
Adena shook her head. "Not that I remember. "
Stephanie Loss groaned and brought a hand up to her forehead. That was
something she never should have done. She still wasn't mentally strong enough to
try to fight mental enefgies like that. She vaguely noticed she had been removed
from the floor where she had collapsed to a couch. Keeping her hand on her
forehead, she opened her eyes and sat up. She assumed she was in Giles's office.
The main question was.. what had she missed?
Through an open window, Adena's brow furrows as she overhears a conversation. Glances to Faith, looking concerned. "What's going on in there?"
Buffy walked around the corner and saw Faith speaking with a young girl. Vampire? She ran to catch up. "Who are you?" She asked roughly.
Adena smiles shyly at the other Slayers question, her head tilting to gaze at the rising moon.. Her smile becomes scarily enchanting and dark, but still polite as always. "I'm Adena StarFire.. And you are?"
She had been warned that if the slayers did not approve, she would be shishcabobed.
Angel looked back at Jezabel, apologetically. He noticed that two of the girls are gone... Amy... and that other one, he hadn't caught her name yet. All who were left in the room were Willow and Giles and then Jezabel. " Jez... I'll be back in a minute." With that he opened the window, jumped out, and started heading towards Buffy and Faith and... another girl he didn't recognize. Dang! Ya leave a day and everyone moves to Sunnydale! he thought to himself. He finally caught up with Faith and Buffy and, stepping in-between them and placing his hand on Buffy shoulder, looked in the direction they were looking. There were two men disappearing in the distance. They were vampires, Angel knew. The demon raged inside him to go and join them. Luckily, his soul was fully in action. He leaned down to Buffy's ear, " Who were they? What did they want? Buffy, what's going on?"...
