Part One
Buffy is sleeping none to peacefully. She is dreaming. She is standing on the grounds of the old high school. Looking at the damage that was done. The school is gone. Blown up after the mayor's attempt of the ascension. The new high school is being built at the far end of Sunnydale. Buffy is standing where the library used to be. She can feel the hell mouth under her. She can feel its presents more accurately then she could when she went to school there everyday. She hears a noise behind her. She turns and sees Pike there. He says something that she can't make let lust be mistaken for love. She then wakes up with a start.
Buffy gets up to get ready for Willow to come over and then the moving of all her things into the dorms. All of her things are packed she has been ready for this for weeks. "I am so excited" she tells her self. She and Willow are moving into the dorms for the coming school year. Willows stuff had been moved in the day before and now it was Buffy's turn.
Half an hour later Buffy and her mother where sitting in the kitchen eating breakfast. There is a nock on the door. Buffy jumps up to get it. "Hey, Willow" Said Buffy as she drags Willow into the kitchen to her mother "Can you believe it We are moving in together. I can't wait."
"Yeah it's kind of scary though." Buffy gives Willow a funny look as she says this. Well I mean for the last 18 years I have depended on my parents. Well for money anyway. But now I am moving out on my own with you and we have to take care of our selves. So scary." Willow sits down as Joyce hands her some toast.
"Well girls just remember that it's not much easier for the parents either. I mean you guys are our babies and you are leaving us. Now I know you guys are only an hour away but for parents that's like a lifetime. Oh And Buffy before I forget to tell you I got a call from your aunt Jaine this morning Your cousin Lerissa is also attending Sunnydale U and she is also your mysterious third room mate. Isn't that great?"
"Really Lerissa is coming here? I haven't seen here since we moved here. Come to think of it I haven't herd from her at all. Not even when I went to see Dad two summers ago. I cant wait to see her" Said Buffy while jumping up and down.
Willow looked at Buffy and said "Who is Lerissa and how come you never told me about her?"
Buffy looks over and says, "Sorry Will I guess I should tell you who she is since she will be living with us. Do you remember when I was in the hospital with that flu and I had to kill that child killing monster?" Willow nods "Well do you remember me telling you about my cosine Celia who died when we were kids?" Willow nodes again "Well Lerissa is her twin sister she had the same flu as Celia but lived. Her and I where not close before then. But after Celia died we became friends and we stayed friends till high school but then I moved here and we have not seen each other since." Buffy turns to her mother "When will she be here?"
"Her stuff is already at the dorm and she should be here tomorrow with a few other people from Hemory High I wonder if any of your other old friends with be coming."
"Cool" They here the truck pulling up out side the house and Buffy and Willow head to the living room to get Buffy's things to pack in the truck while Joyce goes to invite the movers in. They all spend the next hour packing the stuff into the truck. When they are done Willow leaves to give Buffy and her Mother some privacy.
"Well I guess this is it mom. When are you coming up to see the place? I hope soon. I am going to miss you a lot I will call you tonight with the number so you can call." Buffy starts to tear up.
"Buffy if you or Willow ever need anything don't hesitate to tell me Ok. Oh and on your way out why don't you and will go to the garage Giles and I have a surprise for you there. Ok" Joyce hugs her Daughter and heads up stars so that she can calm down and waits to here Buffy's reaction.
"OH MY GOD." Buffy yells then runs and gives her mom a big hug. You got me a car oh thank you thank you"
"Just make sure you thank Rupert too cause he helped." Buffy runs out the door and starts the Car. She tells the movers to hold on for five minutes. Then she and Willow take of for Giles home. They run in forgetting to knock and Buffy gives him a big bear hug Giles figures out why and hugs her back and then says to her
"You're welcome Buffy. Now why don't you and Willow head for the dorms and get your stuff ready for Monday. Buffy kisses his check and says
"Thank you Giles. See you Monday when you start your new job." Then She and Willow go back to Buffy's house and retrieve the movers and head out for the dorms. The rest of the day was spent unpacking and setting up their rooms at the dorms.
Part Two
The next day Buffy was up at the crack of down waiting for Lerissa to arrive. Buffy's mom had told her that Lerissa would be there around ten in the morning and Buffy wanted to be ready for her when she got there. Finally at 9:45 there is a nock at the door Buffy goes to open it. When she does she sees that it is Lerissa. She opens the door. And gives Lerissa a big hug while dragging her in the room. She is so busy hugging Lerissa she does not see some one else follow her in till she hears
"Buffy please say you got some left for me. If not I will be very unhappy" Buffy looks up and yells
"PIKE" then she hugs him to. While Willow is behind them all waiting to be introduced. Finally Buffy lets go of Pike. She is so happy that she is crying. Then she remembered that Willow was still there waiting. " Oh god Willow I would like you to meet my cousin Lerissa" Lerissa shakes Willows hand and says "hay" " Lerissa Willow will be living here with us. Now Willow I would like you to meet Pike He and I we Dating when I was in ninth grade before I got booted. Um He and Lerissa know about my slaying so don't worry about saying anything about it near them Ok."
"So you still can't keep you identity hidden can you Buffy." Pike says teasing Buffy. Lerissa joins in with a " Yeah She never could keep a secret."
Everyone starts to laugh. Then Pike get serious "I am glade to see that you haven't died yet Buffy. You stopped writing a month after you got here. And I didn't know what happened to you." He gives her kiss on the head then looks at his watch. Sorry girls I have to get unpack my stuff into the dorms so I will see you in a while. Oh and by the Way to more things do you girls know a Xander Harris and an Oz Hamilton? Cause that's who I am bunking with and I haven't got a clue who they are." Buffy interrupts him before he can say more and says "Oz is Willows boy friend and Xander is our best friend so be nice to them there great people ok Pike. "Sounds cool to me. The other thing was that you look great Buffy I like the new hear it works for you." Then he leaves the girls to talk among them selves.
"Buffy why did you stop writing to Pike her really cared for you. Correction he still really cares about you. Did you meet a new guy or something?" Buffy and Willow spend the rest of the day telling Lerissa about Angel who is now in LA.
Pike in the mean time meets Xander and Oz. Hay guys what are you I'm Pike your new roommate. Buffy told me that you guys are good friends so I think we will get alone great. So point the way to my room."
"Hay Man I'm Oz and this is Xander." Xander makes his way over and shakes his hand too.
"So how do you know Buff?"
"I when to high school with her for ninth grade. Before she got booted. We dated for a while but when she got here she stopped writing. With her being the slayer and all I thought she was dead till Lerissa, Buffy's Cousin told me that she and her where going to be roommates. I am glade that I was wrong and that she is fine."
"Wait how did you know she was a slayer?" Asked Xander starting to get edgy.
"I was there when Marrick died and helped her to defeat Lothos. In case you don't know Marrick was her first watcher. He died saving her life."
"Yeah She told us that when we discovered who she was. She saved Willows life and mine. That's how we found out. Oz here found out when we had a surprise Party for her 17 birthday and Giles told us about her old watcher what happened to him and what he was trying to do with Buffy. So we know that."
"Good then maybe you can fill me in on this. About a month after that she moved here she stopped writing did she meet another guys or something? And is she seeing anyone now?"
"Well she is not seeing anyone right now. But as for your first question…"
Xander and Oz spent the rest of the day telling Pike about everything that happened with Angel.
Part Three
Loud heavy music can be herd accompanied by very loud bad signing. A black car with the windows blacked out runs over the "Welcome to Sunnydale" sign. A man steps out of the car. Its spike he goes over to the other side off the car and opens the door a woman gets out we can see that its Dru. Spike kisses her and says, "Welcome home my queen"
"Spike are we going to kill the bad slayer now? I really want to hurt her for taking my Angel away again." Dru asks as she walks over to the back of the car checking out the area.
"Oh yeah Dru. She will be punished" Then to himself he says, "I wonder if my wanker of a sire is still in town. Then he and Dru get back into the car and speed away to find shelter for the coming days.
"GOOD MORNING SUNYDALE" blasts out of the stereo. Buffy rolls over and groans. Then she gets out of bed to see if the others are up yet. She walks quietly into Willows room. Willow is still sleeping so Buffy starts to shake her to wake her up. When Willow is up Buffy tells her to head for the shower while she wakes up Lerissa. To her surprise Lerissa is already up and ready for school.
"Since when are you a morning person Lerissa? Last time you where over it took us all morning just to wake you up. What changed?"
"Morning Buffy. Nothing really changed I just kind of woke up one day and decided to quit wasting time on sleep I don't need. Now I get up plenty early. So are you as excited as me. Can you believe it we are going to collage? It's so wacky for lack of any other way to put it." Lerissa says as she heads for the kitchen to make some breakfast "What do you want for breakfast by the way Buffy?"
"Toast for me and Yeah I know how you feel about the collage thing. To tell you the truth I did not think I would live long enough to go to collage. So it's quite scary for me in that way to. But with Giles there it will make it easier to. I hate to admit it but I really need him. Oh and He's my new watcher by the way. You will get to meet him today. He works at the library at the school. He is more then a watcher though. He is like a father more so then my real dad, because he is always there for me and I don't have to wonder if he will pull through for me I just know he will."
Then Willow comes out from the shower to tell Buffy it's free and goes to get ready. Half an hour later the three girls meet up with Xander, Oz, and Pike and they all go to Buffy's new car and she drives them to the school to get their Schedules for the year.
Giles is already at the school library getting ready for the students. He believes that unlike Sunnydale High. The Sunnydale Collage will have many more people coming to use it everyday so he is being much more careful where he puts his things. He is expecting Buffy, Xander, Oz and Willow to show up any minute. Finally he heard voices in the hall. Giles went into the main part of the library. When he gets there the door to the library opens and Xander Willow, Oz, Buffy and two people Giles does not know come in laughing and talking among themselves. Buffy looks up at Giles and smiles.
"Hi Giles how are you" Buffy then turns to Lerissa and Pike "Pike, Lerissa meet Giles, Giles meet my cousin Lerissa and my old friend from Hemory Pike. Giles is my new watcher." Buffy then goes and sits at one of the tables and pulls out her schedule to read.
"Why may I ask have you told these people about you being the slayer Buffy. Are you never going to stop telling people?" Giles asks as he takes a seat at the table with Buffy. Willow, Xander and Oz all sit down as well.
"If I may Giles." Pike says as he goes to get a chair from another table for him and Lerissa. "I have known about Buffy being the Slayer since about a month after she was called. I was there the night that Marrick died as well. After his death I helped Buffy in many fights. Including the one against Lothos. So technically speaking I have know about Buffy's destiny longer than you have." Lerissa sits down next to Buffy and then turns to Giles
. "I found out about Buffy's gift if you will the night she killed Lothos. Pike and I helped Buffy burn down the gym. For some reason the police never found any evidence to link him and I to the incident though so we never got booted. Buffy and I fought some vamps the summer before she moved away as well. So I have known for a while about it too."
"Oh I see. Now than Buffy I have something here for you." He turns to Buffy. "I have found, in my research, a new Prophecy that we are going to have to research, just a sec and I will show you" he goes to some old books and pulls out a sheet of paper "ah here we are" He hands the paper to Buffy to read. It says:
Old friends unite with new
Old enemies with new
Demons of dark in
light
Fire will cleanse
Water makes pure
True love of Slayer
found
Or True love not discovered all would fail
Choice wisely for the
enemy hides well
In deception of dark and light
"Wow neat" Buffy says as
she hands it back to Giles "so what does this mean? Does it mean that I have to
a new true love?"
"Um Well I'm not sure. I have not figured it out yet. I must look in my books and see what I can find. Willow could you see what you could find on that computer. There may be more there." Xander's watch beeps and everyone looks at the time. It's eight o'clock.
"Sorry to leave you here Giles but we all have classes this morning. I am free at ten so I will look up that stuff for you then OK." Willow says as she gets her stuff ready. Then she and the others all head out for class.
"I will be here at ten too ok Giles see you then," Buffy yells on her way out of the library. Then Giles is left there alone. With his books just the way he likes it.
Part Four
Two more weeks pass with out incident. Buffy and the gang go about their lives as usual. Spike starts to make plans on how to destroy and then kill the Slayer. He has tapes of Buffy's fights from the year before and is watching them over and over to learn Buffy's new moves so he can defeat her in battle.
"Want to dance my Spike" Dru says as she dances into the room. "I want to have a dance and party. Will you join me Spike?" She continues to dance around the room like she is crazy again. Spike turns to her and takes her hands in his and starts to spin around the room with her.
"Of course my sweet. Whatever my princess wants." He stops spinning and looks Dru in the face and says to her "Dru my love I have to go out tonight. I am going to scoop out the slayer and see what her defenses are. The first place I will go is to see her mother. Through her I can get to the slayer. Is that ok with you my sweet?" He leans over and kisses her
. "You will be back, right my Spike. You are not going to be helping the nasty slayer again are you?" Dru starts to back away as Spike heads for the door.
"Of course not my pet I will be back by dawn. And tomorrow we will start our rain of terror against the slayer and her chums."
Spike heads out to the town and heads for Buffy's old house. He arrives there in fifteen minutes and heads for the tree in the back yard that leads to Buffy's room. He notices that the light is not on in her room so he climbs up the tree in order to look into the room. When he gets there he notices that her room is empty except for the bed and dresser. He also notices that the window is not locked so he enters the room. Buffy and Willow have not done the reversal spell yet. When he is in there he realizes that there is nothing of the slayer left here. All her cloths her pictures and her stuffed animals are all gone. He then wonders why that makes him sad as he wonders where the little slayer has gone.
Spike leaves Buffy's old room and checks out the rest of the house. As he goes into Joyce's room he sees her sitting on the bed holding a picture of what he assumes is Buffy. Slowly he approaches Joyce and hears her quietly crying. "Joyce what's wrong? Why are you crying? And Where is Buffy?" Spike asks and for some reason he can't figure out he fears that Buffy has died. "Did Buffy Die?" he asks his voice full of fear.
"Oh Spike hi I didn't here you come in." She stands and goes over to Spike. She is not afraid of him. "Buffy is not dead. But she is gone. She is not living here anymore. She and Willow have moved into the dorms for the year. My baby made it to college. That's why I am crying. I miss my baby." She looks at Spike and asks what are you doing here? I thought you left."
"Oh I came to see you and the Slayer. I found Dru she and I are back together. Anyway I should leave you now. See you around." Before Joyce can respond he has disappeared.
"That was strange," She says to herself. Then Joyce goes to bed.
Part Five

She turns and sees Pike and Spike there as well as a stranger she does not know there. Pike says says you can't let lust be mistaken for love. Spike says "Adoration is often mistaken for love, and the stranger says You have to look at more then what is on the outside. Buffy hears a loud beeping and wakes up with a start to the sound of her clock radio.
She sits up and looks around trying to figure out what her dream means. She gets up and goes to get ready for school.
When Buffy gets to the college she heads strait for the library to talk to Giles about the dream. As she enters the library she sees that Giles is in his office making tea so she heads over to talk to him. "Good morning Giles"
Giles looks up at Buffy and smiles and says "Good morning" Then he notices that Buffy looks upset and asks, "Buffy are you alright?"
"Yeah I am just having weird dreams again and I can't figure them out." She looks at Giles as he signals for her to explain and she tells him about the dream. Pike says to me that you can't let lust be mistaken for love. Spike tells me adoration is often mistaken for love, and the stranger tells me you have to look at more then what is on the outside. I can not figure out what it means or if it is even a prophetic dream, but since you were researching that new prophecy I figureed I would tell you about it. They may be connected in some way."
"Well I will look in to the dream and see what I can get. You are right it probably does have something to do with the prophecy. Why don't you and the others come here after classes and we will put some more research into this. OK?" Giles looks at Buffy for confirmation. She nodes and then heads out of the library for class while Giles starts to look in more books.
