The betrayal was apparent in her eyes
as she stated upon the scene before her
The play continued to dance on
Though her mind begged it to stop
Begged to forget Pleaded with nothing for it to never of happened
Never to have been seen.
And she could do nothing,
Powerless as though she was a viewer,
strapped to the chair
Without a remote.
Frozen to the spot she gawked
Her heart refusing to accept
As the bearings of her soul were ripped apart.
It suddenly came to a screeching halt
Only then was she able to run
And fled she did
Beyond the threshold
Past all boundaries.
The wind whipped by her in whispers
the sun sang glory to her name
As the stars witnessed her teared slumber.
And the moon rose to bear a torch upon her path
As she beat the woods of insanity shrouding he road
She understood,
She was nothing to him at all.
