Racing Standards!

When a horse starts racing, their first race must be a Maiden. If they finish above fourth, they should then be entered in an Allowance race. If a horse finishes worse than fourth in a Maiden, they must still keep racing in Maidens until the finish better than fourth.

A horse must finish third or better in an Allowance race to begin racing in Stakes. Then, they can only be entered in a Grade 3 Stakes race. If they have atleast 1 win in a Grade 3 race or they have placed on the board (1st, 2nd, 3rd) twice, they can then move up to a Grade 2 Stakes.

In order to move up to a Grade 1 Stakes race, he must have won two Grade 2 races, or have finished on the board 3 times. A horse can always be entered in a lower graded Stakes race or Allowance once it reaches this level, however, in Allowance races, horses will not recieve points.

Every so often, a Race Series such as the Triple Crown, Breeder's Cup, or International Horse Racing Bonus Series, will be held. For Series such as the Triple Crown and Breeder's Cup, horses will be nominated. In lower class series, it is open to all horses who have won Grade 2 races and up.
