-Story Lines-
RARE has devised a system to encourage members not only to spar, but to role-play and story line as well. We believe that role-playing isnt just battling...It's role-playing. Most people seem to completely miss the basic point of it, and go straight to spars using attacks like ::hits him:: or the infamous ::ends him:: . How exactly do you expect someone to react to that attack when you have given them no description of what is happening. We are not saying you have to use twenty line attacks during a mass spar, but at least tell them what is going on. It isn't all about battles though, which is the idea that most people abuse. Story Lining is good as well. You don't have to be getting dice all of the time, you can just rp! Make something interesting happen to your character. As mentioned though most people do abuse the idea of actually role-playing, so to make it more appealing, we have come up with a system to reward role-playing, with experience.
Basic Information
Here it is broken down for you. What you have to do is gather some people, two or more of course, and just go into a room. Then, here is the really hard part....you have to start role-playing! Sounds easy, perhaps, but there are rules as well. Which are listed below. Pretty much what you have to do, is just make up a story line. The deal is, the rules may make it harder, so, here they are.
Rules
-There Must Be An Entrance In The Log
-There Must Be An Exit In The Log
-It must Be At Least One Hundred Words In Order To Turn It In
-There Can Be No OOC
-You Must Turn In Two Logs In Order To Get Exp

For this SL I used a made up char, signaled by -Name- to indicate the change from it and Diablo. I used this to show different examples of SL, this is the first log, which you should turn in unedited(Meaning without taking anything out), to the Lord/Lady of Stories.

Example Two(Final Copy)
Here is what the final copy should look like. It must be the same log, only with some things taken out (e.g. Online Host Statements, Lines not entered by the person turning in the log, And SN Indications other than yours.). OOC may not be removed. One word of OOC, and it is invalid. We will be going by code of honesty on this. If anyone is found to have cheated on this, they will be put to trial immediately. To eliminate chances of people entering and using OOC, you might want to SL in a private room.

Story Line Experience
Once you have everything you need for your story line experience package(the two logs), you then would send your two logs to the Lord/Lady of Stories for validation, and hopefully your experience reciept. You get 2 Exp per word. You can either count the words manually, or copy and paste the log into Microsoft Word and perform a word count. Good role-playing to you, get out and role-play, gain as much experience as you can!
