Memory, Sorrow & Thorn RPG

This is my RPG based on the "Memory, Sorrow and Thorn" trilogy by Tad Williams. I won't go into a lengthy explanation of the trilogy, because I'm assuming that most people who want to join this RPG either have already read the books or know something about them. If you think you might be interested, but don't really know what it's about, just email me and I'll tell you anything you want to know about it.

The opening scenario, as well as the characters, of the game are the same as in the books. However, I'm hoping to see a lot of divergence from the actual plotline of the trilogy as roleplay progresses.

Expanding, interpreting, and experimenting with characters is encouraged. However, before doing anything opposed to your character's fundamental nature (example: Pryrates giving all his earthly goods to the poor), be sure to check with me. Have ready a description of what you want the character to do and why you think he or she would choose to do it.

THE RULES:

1. You may have as many characters as you want, up to the maximum nuber allowed in each category. You may play one or more characters from one, some or all of the categories. There is no minimum number of categories or characters you must play.

2. Rating is to remain at or below PG-13 at all times - NO EXCEPTIONS. First violation punishable by: warning and suspension (period to be determined by me). Second offense: permanent ban from ALL of my boards. At my discretion, the penalty for a second offense will also apply to a serious enough first offense.

3. Don't control other people's characters. This includes stating that the character does or says something or that something happens to them.

4. No killing of characters without the player's OOC permission AND Lysana's permission.

5. Please don't start playing until you receive an email from me that your character choice has been accepted. Someone else may have requested the same character prior to your doing so.

6. Any new rule(s) will be posted on the board with a message subject of NEW RULE(S). They will also be added to this list of rules.

At my discretion, any posts that are not in keeping with the continuity will be deleted and the events described will be assumed not to have happened.
