Rita
Recently killed in action. The mink will be remebered by her crew forever. Created by Catfish
Name: Rita
Aliases: none
Faction: Maximal
Serial Number: 57H-PLO
Status: Functional
Affiliation: Maximal Military (she has connections), Cybertron’s Underworld
Rank: None currently
Function: Mercenary
Beast Mode: Mink
Type: Beast Warrior
Transformer Sex: Female
Age: 582 stela cycles
Height: 9ft
Physical Description: Beast Mode: A slender North American mink, her coat is a
dark brown that looks deep purple in the right lighting. She has mean little claws
and teeth that are a stark contrast to her fur when she shows them. She has an
upside-down triangle shaped patch of white fur under her chin and a long fluffy
tail.
Robot mode: A knockout and she knows it, though she rarely flaunts it. Her robot
parts are light brown, her fur transforms into two interesting articles of “clothing”.
This clothing is deep purple or chocolate in color (depends on lighting). The fur is
very fine, soft and silky, and of the finest quality (Rita tends to be slightly vain
about it, though she doesn’t rant). It is unequalled by anything machine made in
durability (it can’t be destroyed by anything, completely impossible, it doesn’t
provide much protection though because of how little of her it covers) and quality
(not that transformers wear much in the way of fabric, just a comment).
First is a cowl type thing that is connected around her neck, reaches down to her
mid-back and stops after draping over her shoulders. It frames her “upper body”
quite nicely. The second accessory is connected to a belt like metal band looping
her waist (also home to her two favorite instruments of destruction). The
fabric/fur comes out of the back and looks like a long tight skirt except for the
fact that it’s open in the front like the cowl. Both articles are detachable; Rita has
NEVER let anyone see her in beast mode without both on so a description of that
is unavailable.
She has a slim figure that makes her look weak and two huge guns strapped
loosely around her waist, which negates the earlier impression. Her face is light
brown and has all the normal features (eyes, nose, and mouth). She has a
tendency to smirk when she’s about to do something totally insane and to smile
demurely right before or after she blows someone away. Her tail (for whatever
reason) relocates to the back of her head and sticks up at an angle before
hanging limply between her shoulders, looks a bit like a ponytail. The patch of
white fur stays on her chest, a bit larger then in beast mode. It has the same
qualities as the other fur but is snow white.
Personality: Rita is a thrill seeker, she lives life to it’s fullest and is trying to get as
much stuff done as she can before she inevitably gets slagged. She has a habit of
jumping headlong into things and taking insane chances, fortunately this hasn’t
gotten her killed, yet. She has little respect for authority (especially when it’s not
around), overall she follows orders but often questions them and has a few times
completely disregarded them in the stead of something she deemed more
important. She has as about as much respect for the law as she has for her
superiors and has broken the rules many times and made many high ups very
angry. Rita absolutely despises leading because it gives her a sense of
responsibility which she loathes, but since she’s pretty good at it so she tends to
get stuck with the job.
She’s usually friendly towards her comrades, but on a solid basis doesn’t trust
anyone with anything. To her close friends she’s fantastically loyal and would,
quite willingly, lay down her life for them. However, it’s very hard to become one of
her close friends and few people count as them. She usually keeps tabs on these
people so she can bail them out if they get in over their heads. She is always
direct about her opinions, especially of other bots, which can get her into fights
but will be civil if others are.
Having spent half her life hanging about the low levels of Cybertron (casinos, bars)
Rita’s an experienced and skilled gambler and can drink any bot under the table
with relative ease. She’s slightly short tempered and is very dangerous to be
around when she gets angry (you can tell she’s losing her temper when she starts
talking in a low calm voice, this is a prelude to hasty acts of violence). She will
happily get up and slag someone she doesn’t like at any provocation. She has a
skill for dirty fighting and knows how to hit people fast and where it hurts. She has
little or no sense of honor but a few rules that she never breaks and has
developed some interesting habits over the centuries. Most of them quite odd but
meaningful in some alien way.
Rita acts as a guardian and a mother to a young (in maturity) fuzor named Catfish.
When around Catfish Rita becomes a responsible adult. Rita’s concern for Catfish’s
safety and well being outweighs any of her other character traits. She goes from
tough to soft and risk taking to worrisome. She will murder anyone who so much as
looks at ‘Fish the wrong way.
She works as a mercenary when she’s not off pursuing her own projects, hired for
money or lending her talents to groups if her friends are in them. She is capable of
living in any kind of place no matter how rough or dangerous and does so from time
to time for the thrill.

Weapons/Special abilities:
Guns: (S’cuse the name, I can’t think of anything more creative for guns) Two
very large, very mean looking mega blasters strapped to either side of her waist.
They’re her favored weapon so she booby traps them. People who try to yank
them out of her hands or take them out of their holsters get a nasty shock that
paralyses their fingers. The guns themselves are about two feet long with a tall
but narrow barrel.
They shoot out large discs of pure energy, green in color, she can deal out ten
from each gun before needing to duck down and press a few buttons to reload.
Reloading takes a few cycles that can be quite key in a battle. The discs are quite
damaging; one shot in a key spot can bring a huge battle bot to his knees. Rita
can have them from their holsters to her hand in seconds flat and up to a bot’s
head in even less.
Sentient Rope: Looks like a slightly beat up normal piece of rope. Looks are
deceiving, inside the rope is a string of metal joints connected together in a setup
like snake bones. It moves around on it’s own like a snake, slithering across
surfaces. It is quite fast and has a strength rating around 5 (which is good for a
rope). It was created to follow short instructions and perform simple activities
such as “Slither though the bars and flip off the switch” and such. It is much more
durable then any normal type of rope and can’t be cut or destroyed by normal
swords or lasers.
Oddly enough, over the years that she’s had it the rope seems to have developed
a sort of self-awareness. It often shows more sense then Rita herself and will whip
out if it “thinks” it can help in a situation. Otherwise, it doesn’t move around much
on it’s own and prefers everyone to think it’s a normal rope. When separated from
her for extended periods of time it will eventually start to slither back towards her.
When stolen or forcefully taken from Rita it will wait and act like an ordinary rope
until it gets a chance to set up it’s captors demise. It tends to be protective of
Rita and extremely jealous of her attention. It can’t openly attack but will do its
best to inflict any amount of damage on anyone it doesn’t like when they’re near
by. Be they Maximal or Predacon it’ll do anything from acting the trip wire to
leaping up and trying to strangle the victim as long as it can retain its cover of an
ordinary rope. It is wound around her waist over her belt when she’s not using it.
Energy Lasso: Yet another special type of string. This one however is obviously
not normal; it glows a bright blue and sparks fly when you touch it. Rita twirls it in
true western style and uses it to take opponents out of battle early. When looped
around someone a person it drains their energy enough to make movement
impossible, but leaves them self-aware. When taken off their power returns
instantly. However, it’s a challenging weapon to work with for obvious reasons. It
can catch one large, two medium, or two or three small transformers at once. Her
rope tends to be jealous of the lasso and various times has tried to dispose of it
without Rita noticing, but hasn’t succeeded yet. She carries it slung over her
shoulder.
Hover Board: If you’ve ever seen “Back to the Future part 2” you know what this
looks like. A skate board with antigravity devices on the bottom instead of wheels.
It hovers about a foot above the ground and moves forward on it’s own by verbal
command, Rita steers using her feet. It follows Rita automatically when she’s not
using it and is scooped up and strapped to her back when she needs to transport
it. It has faulty programming that makes it act like a puppy dog. Jumping in front
of her and growling at enemies or cringing and whimpering when it sees something
that scares it. It has the same unquestionable loyalty and desire to protect Rita as
the rope but less aggressive and far less intelligent. Though sometimes the rope
enlists it to help dispose of unwanted company.
Gymnastics/Dirty fighting: Rita is a very unpleasant person to go up against in
hand to hand combat, good too. She’ll do everything that’s in her power to come
out on top including, but not limited to, kicking, biting, kneeing, scratching,
pushing, shoving… you get the idea. Even without that side to her she’s quite agile
and has a ton of moves to take out another bot quickly and efficiently. She is also
better then normal at climbing, jumping and other activities of such.
Cling Bite (only in beast mode): Cute little fact about mink (and I quote): “The
mink will ambush anything alive by locking it’s jaws on the back of the neck. No
matter how fierce the struggle the mink will hang on to the end, slowly choking its
victim to death.” Rita will do the same thing when in battle in beast mode. The
attack’s effectiveness varies from bot to bot but will bring most all into stasis lock
after she latches on. She doesn’t favor this approach because it usually gets her
beat up (she is completely defenseless while latched on, she does it in beast mode
for Primes sake!) but will almost always, save under very special circumstances,
take out a bot she needs dead.
History: Rita spent her early life in the militia and consequently has a deep loathing
for it. After getting out she became a mercenary for hire, she spent a lot of time
off world on exploration missions or on Cybertron. Signing up for missions and
fishing through the alleys for fights and, occasionally, information when a job
demanded it.
While she was acting as a guard for a shipment of parts the ship she was on
stumbled into Predacon space and was captured. Rita was brought to a high
security prison happened to be tossed into the same cell as the irrepressible
Catfish who had wandered into the base earlier and decided to get caught.
Instead of going completely insane, as most bots would from being in close
confines with the fuzor, Rita took an instant liking to her. After a few weeks of this
both got tired of marbles, jacks, and annoying the guards. Rita expressed a want
to get out; Catfish cheerfully overrode the defense system, and opened all the
cells in the place. Together they caused a major jailbreak, most casualties
numbering in the Predacon personnel.
After getting out and sending all the other Maximals on their various ways the
companions set out on their long trek back to Cybertron, made longer by Rita’s
tendency to wander and Catfish’s complete willingness to follow her. (“So, should
we take the cargo ship heading straight back to Cybertron with no stops or
interruptions, or the exploration vessel that might be going vaguely in the right
direction?” “Hmm, tough one.”)
While travailing on a particularly remote planet Rita and Catfish triggered a
sequence of events later known as “The Pasta Bar Incident”.
Rita: “I’d tell you about it, but then the others would find me and do bad things to
me…”
When they finally arrived at their destination they parted ways, Rita going back to
doing jobs and Catfish just wandered off. Recently she paused in her work to find
her friend and check that she hadn’t been eaten or anything. After digging through
some of the classified papers for recent disasters she found out about Catfish’s
recent disappearance into the silver world and left off everything else to go look
for her. She (Rita) is currently probing all her connections, low and high, for hints
on what happened to the young fuzor.

Beast mode: Fuzor, dolphin/wildcat
Relationship: Good friend
Status: Functional
Commanders Notes:
Commander Jacklen: “I can’t figure her out, one would think she’d be in this
business for the money but she doesn’t seem to care about that. She’s good at
basically anything you put her to that doesn’t involve science or technical work.”
Captain Girch: “Doesn’t have enough respect for authority, but don’t you worry,
we’ll straighten her out.” (Deceased, found strangled in quarters by some very
strong bot using a… rope? Rita was patrolling at the time and has been vouched
for by several bots)
Commander Hroken: “Has a discipline problem, but since she’s the only one who
ever volunteers for our suicide missions I can’t complain.”
Quotes:
“Why try to live to a ripe old age if you’re going to die of boredom before hand?”
“Eat lead…! No, um, Green energy discs!”
“Stubborn can keep you alive at times when smart may not be enough.”
“I got a big ol’ blaster set to full power trained on the back of your head. One
touch of the trigger then off it goes and my finger tends to twitch when people
don’t answer my questions. Are we feeling chatty now?”
