THEME SONG: Just about any Warner Bros. cartoon music would apply.
QUOTE: "BRAWK! Brawk Brawk brawk brawk!"
APPEARANCE:
BEAST MODE:
At 4ft tall he is somewhat larger than real emperor penguins. In this mode has a
cartoonish, baratone voice that is irresistably cute no matter what he says.
ROBOT MODE:
His transformation is fairly typical for a Beast Warrior- his black portions fold onto his
back, and the robot body unfolds from the inside. His white chest retracts a bit and
stays as his robot chest. He is much thinner in this mode, stands 7 feet tall, and his
color scheme makes him look even more like he's wearing a nice tuxedo, down to the
breast pocket with light blue handkerchief, and black cumberbund that doubles as a
grenade holder. Robotic parts are black, shiny, and mechanical-looking, with hinges
and gears clearly showing. None of that, however, detracts from his high-class
appearance. Helmet is black, face is smooth, suave, shiny white with light blue
optics. Penguin head becomes his left hand. His robot mode vocal system is
completely separate from his beast mode vocals, and in this mode his voice is deep
and smooth, very much like Sinatra. His image of class is often shattered when he
starts talking to his left hand/penguin head, and it talks back.
STATS:
Strength: 5
Stamina: 7
Speed: 8|2
Skill: 9
Aim: 7
Discipline: 6
Intelligence: 7
Fire Power: 10

For Speed and Luck, the first stat refers to beast mode on land and robot mode
underwater. The second is for beast mode underwater and robot mode on land.
SKILLS:
*Tehnical: Military and Weapons
*Demolitions
*Explosives
*Heavy Weapons
*Diving (1200 ft max unassisted)
*Survival: Arctic
TRAITS:
Swimming: Penguins, while comical and clumsy on land, are incredibly fast and agile
swimmers- they essentially fly underwater. Emperor penguins can reach speeds of
60mph. Penji has been clocked at 90. He can dive up to 1200 feet under Earth's
gravity and atmosphere. He has to surface at least once a megacycle to breath.
Military Engineering: Can rig up amazingly complex bombs, booby traps, defensive
systems, drones, etc. Though his engineering idol may be Wile E. Coyote, Penji's
designs actually work, and well, despite their Rube Goldberg appearance.
Traps: Whether by looking cute and harmless to draw in the victim or by setting up
mines in energon fields, Penji is master of the art of the trap. Or perhaps he just has
incredible luck.
Subspace Pocket: Ok, so everyone and their brother has a subspace pocket, but
Penji has enhanced his to comically huge proportions. Most of the time, it's about the
same size as he is, holding all sorts of weapons and equipment. He does, however,
have the ability to expand it even further, so he can pull out telephone booths, cars,
etc (his power system hates him when he does that, so its a very rare thing that he
does). Has a small manipulator arm in his pocket he can use for simple tasks such as
reloading guns and activating explosives. Also has a small pocket inside his "suit
jacket" in robot mode.
WEAPONS:
both modes:
Sleeping Gas Spray
From his beast mode mouth sprays a white mist (in air) or cloud (underwater) of a
powerful sleep-inducing chemical. Works on most Cybertronians and organics,
rendering them unconcious in 3 to 20 clicks, depending on exposure, susceptability,
and willpower. Beings without a resting cycle, or with very strange phsyiologies are
unaffected. Victims remain unconcious for about 10 cycles. Range of about 3 feet,
can spray about a half gallon's worth before his body has to manufacture more.
robot mode only
Cavitation Machine Gun
Built into his penguin head, but only usable when it's his left hand in robot mode. On
land, this is a normal machinegun, firing clips of 50 bullets at 10/click. Underwater,
however, he switches to supercavitation bullets. Shaped like a cylindrical arrowhead
with a flat nose, these create a bubble, or cavity, around themselves when fired
which reduces the drag to that of air and allows them to travel at normal bullet
speed. These are also in 50 round clips, and fire at 9/click
(btw, supercavitation is a real technology, here's an article:

Rocket/Torpedo Launcher
4ft long, heavy duty launcher. Back loaded, holds one projectile in firing position and
two in reserve. Fires armor-piercing rockets on land, homing torpedoes underwater.
Rockets have a 3000 ft. range and explosive radius of 15ft. torpedoes have a range
of 1.5mi and explosive explosive radius of 15ft as well, though the rapid pressure
change will violently affect the movements of bots up to 40ft away. Carries a limited
array of magnetic mines and other custom rounds that can be launched, as well.
Stored in subspace pocket.
Laser Array
His "suit jacket" opens up to reveal eight small laser pistols, four down each side of
his torso. Fire in bursts, three per click. Very weak, one shot will just barely fry a fish
(a favorite usage). Used mainly for diversion and show.
Grenades
Standard-issue, thrown, 5ft blast radius. Carries five in his cumberbund, often has
more in subspace.
Explosives
What would an explosives expert be without a healthy supply of explosives? Carries
these in subspace, both in ready made bombs and raw charges, along with a supply
of detonators, wire, etc.
Nuclear Hand Grenade
Read that very carefully. This very special gold plated grenade (with a "radioactive"
symbol engraved) is kept in his inner suit subspace pocket, and only brought out on
special occaisions (so special, in fact, that he hasn't brought it out yet). Other than
the fact that it unleashes a nuclear fission blast, it's just like a regular grenade- you
pull the pin, you throw it, you get about 10 clicks before it blows. He built this thing
just because he could, and he thought it was funny, not because he'd ever use it,
though it could concievably be useful for a suicide attack, empty threat, or if you
just happen to have a transwarp taxi parked right next to you.
EQUIPMENT:
tool kit: wrenches, pliers, welders, solder, nuts and bolts, pretty much all the basic
building tools one would need, and a few simple materials. All waterproofed. Carried in
subspace.
Military engineering equipment: sensors, triggers, detonators, heavy duty metals and
construction materials, compact computers, etc. Keeps most of it at base, carries
what he needs with him in subspace. Maintains a workshop where he can build large,
very complicated devices, but finds it more fun to build large, complicated devices in
the field.
Knife, fork, spoon, and napkin: All standard kitchen utensils, made of strong alloys to
penetrate metal. Knife is sharpened regularly.
PERSONALITY:
A sweet, innocent team player. If you believe that, you're probably his next meal.
Acts cute and cuddly in beast mode, and suave and debonair in robot mode, but his
mind is twisted and sinister. Has three maxims to life: Love of eating, hatred of
Predacons, and that nothing is worth doing without style. He will eat just about
anything, under the condition that he killed it himself, or saw it die. He makes no
exceptions for any being, sentient or not, friend or foe- his favorite meal of all time,
actually, was his best friend. Goes to great lengths to conceal his appetites and dark
nature from other Maximals, but purposefully leaves small clues, and makes
cannabalism jokes, just for fun. Most tend to dismiss him as just another minor head
case. His hatred of Predacons is prejudiced and irrational, especially considering how
much he thinks like a Pred. His style is an eclectic mix. In beast mode, he has a cute,
cartoonish voice, a squaking penguin laugh, and never says more than three words
at a time. In robot mode, he's smooth and classy, though not much more talkative,
unless he's singing, or talking to his penguin hand (it talks back, giving many the
impression of split personalities). In battle, he's analogous to Vejita, if Vejita were
inserted into a Bugs Bunny cartoon- angry and cunning, but also very wacky, and
given to overelaborate plans and displays of firepower.
HISTORY:
Created in a stasis pod, to be shipped to a colony, but the transport ship was
attacked, and his pod was jettisoned. It landed on an uncharted planet inhabited by
a TF race related to the Junkions, but which had been out of regular contact with
their Cybertronian bretheren for thousands of solar cycles. They did, however, have
access to media broadcasts from several non-TF worlds, as well as a large library of
Terran TV broadcasts given to them by the Junkions on a diplomatic visit many
hundreds of stellar cycles back. The Autobot-sized TFs figured that Penji must be a
child of some sort, and raised him accordingly, by childraising customs seen on
Terran and other media. Penji was, of course, not a child, but after his initial
confusion he learned to keep that up as a front, because it excused him from all work
and made him spoiled rotten. He spent many stellar cycles sitting on his skidplate
watching cartoons, eating nicely oiled scrap, and laughing hysterically. His "family"
was careful to teach him that real life was not like a cartoon, but he figured, "why
can't it be?" With the large amount of junk on the planet, he could rig up all sorts of
contraptions straight out of the cartoons, most of them designed to flatten or blow
up a dummy.
About 12 stellar cycles into this charade, the planet was "discovered" by a Predacon
ship. The Predacons did what any sensible members of their race would do to a
planet full of Autobot relatives- sacked, plundered, and pillaged. The pacifistic
inhabitants offered little resistance, and were practically wiped out. The kept what
appeared to be a Maximal of child-level intellegence on their ship as cabin boy, and
were completely stymied when crewmembers started getting killed by a strange array
of booby traps. They of course suspected it was one of their own, but one
"accident" would point to one culprit, the next, another. Once the crew was down to
five, they were incredibly suspicious, and killed each other off in a bloody battle in
the mess hall. Penji was then alone on a Pred vessel, somewhere in space. He was
hungry. He missed his scrap chips. The Preds were scrap. It all seemed very logical.
To his surprise, they were even better than scrap chips. When he reached Maximal
space, he was hailed for destroying a ship full of Predacon terrorists singlehandedly,
and had no trouble enlisting in the Maximal military (where else to go for more
Pred-eating opportunities?). He quickly found his place with demolitions and
engineering. On an early away mission, when he had a choice of ferocious beast
modes, he went with the funniest, most harmless looking one around- just in case
anyone wasn't underestimating him enough. Since then his life has been devoted to
developing style and military skills, as well as eating, something that has only given
him more joy as he's tried more dishes.
