History
As followers of Cybertronian history should know, Protoform X was a Maximal project. It failed horribly (in Maximal eyes), but that didn't stop the Predacons from dabbling in spark enhancement. They weren't, however, as bold to try and create an immortal spark (No Predacon likes the idea that they can't destroy something.) Instead, they attempted to augment an existing spark to make it much more durable. In comes Buster. Buster was already a distinguished Predacon warrior noted for his strength and appetite for chaos; with this enhancement, he would
become a near unstoppable behemoth in the glorious Predacon army. Buster only is assigned to big jobs, so if you ever see this massive monster around, two things are certain: something important is going on, and you're in for a world of hurt.
Additional Info: After locating the Maximal hotel 'safe house' on Cybertron, Buster took a large part in the ensuing battle. After the death of fellow General Press, however, he found himself greatly outnumbered by the weaker yet more numerous Risistance members. Suffering from a large number of wounds, he finally fell at the hands of new team member Mandrake. His inert form was subsequently removed by a Predacon unit loyal to Ramhorn and Seaclamp.
Personality
There's an old Cybertronian proverb that says that the larger a 'bot is, the slower his CPU is. Buster (fortunately/unfortunately) fits this stereotype perfectly. As strong as each one of his lifting mechanisms is, Buster is as dumb as a stone. It's not like Buster talks in third person (Me Grimlock!); he just doesn't really understand anything complicated or subtle. Buster has a natural aptitude for destruction and enjoys watching things crash, burn, explode, and die. Buster also has a nasty tendency to get angry and do something really dumb like destroy the immediate area around him only to have it collapse on top of him. Luckily for the lumbering giant, a whole city caving in on his head isn't too big a deal; he can just shrug it off.
Appearance
Beast Mode: If you don't know what a Brontosaurus is, it's a type of dinosaur. It's the one with the long neck and the large body (quadruped). As a standard beast warrior, Buster looks identical in every way to one of these creatures.
Transformation: The tail separates and becomes Buster's hammer (the head of the hammer is inside the body, not at the tip of the tail.) The bulk on his back opens up and slides to the underbelly to reveal the torso and Buster's arms and legs. The beast mode legs fold backwards and rest alongside his back. The arms and legs fold out into position while the robot head flips up from inside the robot chest. The neck and head from the beast mode splits into halves and rests along Buster's shoulders. They act as cradles for Buster's massive cluster missiles.
Robot Mode: Buster is very heavily built and all parts of his body are stacked with large layers of armour plating. His weapons are clearly visible from all angles because they are so big. There are no weak points (visible or otherwise) to his structure. Buster is primarily coloured in grey (from his beast mode components) and a deep purple. His face is in a constant state of anger and his mouth is covered by a faceplate. His eyes glow an eerie pale yellow.

Weapons
Strength: Since Buster is so strong, his huge fists and lifting power can really get some damage done. He likes to punch people and throw things around. Everything around him is a potential weapon in his hands.
Shoulder Mounted Cluster Missiles: These are about as big as Buster's arms, and have the firepower to match. They explode into fragments, which then explode into smaller fragments, and repeat the process causing a huge chain reaction. These are a very long-range weapons; Buster barely has the smarts not to use them close up because if he did, it would damage him as well. It takes him a very long time to reload, but the damage done in one volley is
massive anyway. The missiles have eyes and teeth painting on the warhead for decoration.
War Hammer: If something ever does have the nerve to get close to Buster, he would generally whack them with his two-handed hammer. It's really heavy, so when Buster swings it around, it gains a lot of momentum.
Shielding: To make things worse, this hulking behemoth has an energy shield that covers his whole body. He activates it to ward off hits that might actually injure him. Combined with his size and structure, Buster won't go down without a fight, if not a war.
