A Plee for Freedom: Part 1

With a tough phsycial battle won, the Maximals now engage in a most trying mental struggle. It is to the courts where the Maximals must now prove thier story true against all odds.

PART ONE

The Next Day
------------------------------------

Rhapsody sent standing in front of the team. "Looks like we survived another one.." She said lightheartidly. She recieved laughs and nods of agreement from her Maximal friends. "This will just to go and show the predacons true selve. They messed up when they tryed to gid rid of us. THey have just made thier own situation worse. There is on thing left to do. The hearing will be tomorrow at 1200 hours and we will settle this once and for all." The group agreed again, beaking off into seperate conversations as Rhapsody and followed Burnout to another room in the new hotel they were at.

Inside the small room Rapier sat bound in a chair. Rita and Buckshot were already in the room keeping watch on the prisoner. Rhapsody sat down in a chair and stared down the Predacon. "YOu think your gonna get anything from me?" Rapier said laughing. "Keep dreaming." Rhapsody smiled back at the predacon pulling one of her small disposable swords.

"You see, i am very tired of you predacons. I want to go home, i want to rest. And you are going to help us wether you like it or not. Us maximals can be very, Unmaximal. Rhapsody took rapiers hand and made a small painless cut acrossed the top.

"Oh whats that spose to do." Rhapsody nodded to Buckshot who poured a small bit of chemical that began to burn instantly. "AHHHHHHH!" Rapier yelled.

"Now are you going to tel....." A small 3D hologram genorated from Rapiers wrist band.

"Sorry maximals." A cold hard voice shrowded in black said. "And sorry Rapier, but you won't be giving out any information. Goodday maximals." The Hologram dissapered as Rapier looked terrifingly at the bracelet.

"ITS CIDACO..." Rapier's last plee for redemtion was cut off as the bracelet began to spread electricity all over the the Prisoner. In a moment she was gone. The maximals who had backed off now stood in shear disbelief.

"They don't even care about there own lead General." Rhapsody said staring at Rapier. "Only about themselves."

Away from the main group, Timber still sat with Querion, listening obligingly to the string of incoherent concern pouring from his lips. Abruptly she lifted two fingers and placed them on his lips, stopping the flow of talk. “I’m fine,” she murmured, “But you gotta remember hun, I’m a country girl, I get a little lost in a big city like Cybertron, it’s my first visit, remember. And my my, what a welcoming party.” Timber glanced around, “Speaking of the big city where’s Pulse? I lost her after we got brought to the hotel. Primus damnit, we had a date!” She exclaimed stamping her foot in mock irritation. Seeing the confused look on Querion’s face a playful smile crossed her own. “Not that kind of date fuzzy, just some fun on the town, actually you might like to come along.” Timber’s face went slightly more serious. “Actually, with the hearing tomorrow, we might have to adjust our plans. I can feel my slagging conscience tugging at me again, regardless I guess we’re going to need to find her and figure out what’s going on.”

Timber spied a small form running down the street towards the two wolves, and recognized the little fox she had seen fawning over Querion back on the ship. The little fox skittered to a stop at Querion’s leg and looks with concern at the older wolf. “So who’s your friend, hon, I don’t think we’ve met yet.” The young wolf asks, her voice slightly distant.

Wraith stared at the prisoner for a moment. She was one of the bodyguards present when he assassinated the Predacon officer on a previous mission. His shock didn't last long however, he knew how savage the Predacons were and he wasn't surprised.

He was upset, though. He followed Rhapsody out of the room and looked around. Good, nobody else was around. He tapped her on the shoulder and said in a low, solemn voice, "Why didn't you comm me last night?"

She blinked at him in surprise, misunderstanding his sentance. "Excuse me?" The wolf straightened up and maintained his hushed tone. "Everybody's talking about a big battle last night. I was outside, waiting for news of what the elders said. If there was a fight, you should have let me know! I feel.....I feel like I haven't been doing my job. Everyone was in danger and...you were too...and I wasn't there."

"Awwww." Rhapsody said touching the side of wraiths face. THe wolf seemed to blush but his question still remained. "It all happened so fast Wraith, by the time i knew what was happening we were fighting with Rapier and in a matter of cycles it was all over." Rhapsody looked down at the ground for a moment. She could have used the help but perhaps it was best he wasn't there. "Besides, if you really want to help, can i count on you on the stand tomorrow. I will need a reliable witness to give a statement about endport. So can i count on you to be there?"

Tundra and Vinoc walked into the lobby of the hotel, looking in rather bad shape, as they had been ambushed by a gang on the way to the hotel from some place or another. The first thing they saw when they walked into the door was the body of Press. "Well, looks like someone had a party without us." Tundra said, she turned to Vinoc and said "Well, I'm going to find Retro, and don't you follow me, or you'll be unconcess preety quick, you hear me?" Before Vinoc could say anything, she walked off. "That girl realy needs to watch herself, I just don't trust that Retro. Well, I guess I'd better find the rest of the Resistence, maybe Rhapsody's room.

---Ten minutes Later---
Tundra had found Retro and had draged him to a public viewing platform attached to the Hotel, she stood by the rail looking down, she suddenly turned to Retro and said "The beast part of me enjoys this height off the ground, but the robot part would enjoy doing somthing else at this height,"

Cross stood by alone, seperated from the other maximal as he held his comm in front of his face. He was still apart of the military and he should have reported back, but he just didn't like it there. It wasn't for him. He was a medic now. A doctor. As far as it all went, he was the only medic amongst the resistance. ...Maybe he could be of better used to them...?

"..I want to do something better while I'm online...I can't be ordered around like a soldier. That's not my function..." He mumbled to himself as he looked around, seeing nobody. "But maybe, it'll be all different if I report back?"

A few cycles later, a broken pieces of metal and wires sat hidden in a trash can as Cross sheath Pierce back into its sheath. The medic smiled to himself as he walked towards the the resistance members, hoping that they would accept him as part of their team.

Since his presence no longer sought any true use, Trapper decided it would be best if he left and keep close watch on those he had befriended, and return to their aid....that and wait till they were off cybertron....as he was departing in the cheese wedge about to jump to transwarp with three enforcement cruisers chasing him.

Trapper:
"amatures"

Retro froze for a couple tense seconds. The first thing that came into his mind was her picking him up and dropping him on sharp pointy rocks, then pecking at his splattered remains. Then it came back to him that she said Robot mode.

Still, as he weighed his options, the idea of a possum going out with an owl seemed to be becoming more and more of a bad idea. But another idea floated to the surface as he checked out her curvaceous body once more. Why the hell does Burnout have to get all the chicks? How long has it been since poor Retro’s gotten any tail? I disserve some….. recreation. DUDE, I’m getting ahead of myself, she asked a question.

“Um…” The marsupial nervously looked out at the neon signs flashing from the buildings nearby. What WOULD she want to do at really high highest. It’s to do with the robot mode…

“Oh! Empty used oil on passing motorists?”

Tundra sighed and said, "You are slow, cute but slow, well, I'll just have to show you what i mean,"

---an hour later---

Tundra sat up, slightly out of breath. "Well, that was envigorating. You okay," Retro chuckled and said "Of course I'm okay, this is my only hobbie besides hacking." Tundra laughed "Well then, you need a new hobbie." Retro sat up, and put an arm around her shoulders, Tundra looked at him, and sliped an arm around his waist. They look out over the city in silence, Tundra was wondering what Vinoc would do to Retro if he found out what had just happened. no doubt he would find him in a dark allyway, break a couple key pieces of his infrastructure, and then leave him there.

Tundra said to Retro, "Lovely veiw isn't it?" Retro says "Not as lovely as the veiw from here," she looks down, to find him looking at her chestplate, she laughs, and shoves him playfuly. This quickly turns into a play-fight, which they cut off rather abrubtly when the sun starts to set.

They look out over the city, right as the sun begins to set, Tundra sighs and turns to Retro, "As much as i would like to stay out here, there is the little problem of some gang memebers who stay near here who have this little thing about meeting me, they see me, they shoot me, they hope they can kill me. And, on top of that, they all have Avian beast modes, so staying outside, in the dark, this close to their teritory is not my idea of a fun night." "Well, what is your idea of a fun night?" "Do you need to ask?" Retro chuckles, "Guess not." Tundra stands up, or at least tries to, but everyone on the observation platform could hear the earspliting crack of something breaking. "$%#$@%$'s they caused more damage then i thought." Retro looked at her, slightly worried, he shakes himself and says "come on, you need to see someone about that." "No Duh!" Retro then helps Tundra to her feet, and they headed off towards the CR chamber

"Umm... this is umm... Phyphen. A new recruit. I don't think you've met. And Phyphen, this is Timber. Don't worry now. I've found her. And she's umm... allright," stammered Querion, obviously unnerved in the presence of the beautiful she-wolf. He had caught the note in her voice, and he could fathom its meaning. The wolf-bot shuffled his feet uneasily against the carpeting, swallowing ever so quickly to calm his nerves.

"Let's umm... go find the others now. You said you wanted to go find Switchblade," mumbled Querion as he grabbed Timber by her wrist, and pulled her in the direction of where the voices were coming from. "And Phyphen, go look for that ferret you're supposed to look after," called the Maximal, glancing back one last time, as the two wolves turned down the hallway. He breathed at last, as he felt the oppressive atmosphere lift.

The swordsman grinned sheepishly at Timber, and released her hand. "Umm, this way," he beckoned, as they continued down the corridor.

The fox bot watched as the two wolves walked away hand in hand. A sad sigh escaped her lips as she turned on her heels and trudged into the hotel.

'Find the ferret!? Find the ferret... he's long gone. It's evident. At least the poor guy got away safely.' Phyphen thought to herself as she pulled the heavy doors open and stepped inside.

The small Maximal was quietly grumbling to herself as she aimlessly wandered through hallways. Phyphen voice eventually trailed off, and was replaced by a frown - as she continued to wander around the hotel, sword in hand.

Rhapsody saw Wraith's eyes widen, followed by a sharp inhale, at the word 'witness'. She had forgotten that Wraith had been through a Predacon trial before and was determined not to enter any kind of court ever again.

She was about to withdraw the request, but he answered before she did. "Yeah....ok." Rhapsody could hardly believe what she'd heard. "You will? Really?" The wolf-bot nodded. "Sure. I mean, I wasn't there as long as some of you, but I saw what was goin' on, so I'll do what I can."

Nocticia's eyes sprung open as the blackness parted and the world came into focus. She readied her weapons but put them away when she realized she was at a hotel. She looked to the right of her and then to the left and realized that she was upside down. She released her grip on the ceiling and fell straight to the floor smashing her head on the side of the bed. It was gonna be one of those days.

Penji had already been by Nocticia's CR chamber three times, but hardly out of concern. Nothin made him hungry like a good fight, but all the Pred's bodies had been hauled off by security forces. If one of the Maximals should not recover in CR however...
Well, no such luck, his fourth visit revealed. He put on a happy face.

"Hi, crazy lady!"

Nocticia looked at the penguin. A voice inside told her not to shoot it. She of course, said aloud, "Shut up! I wanna shoot the penguin. Whenever I try to shoot the penguin, you tell me not to shoot the penguin! I wanna shoot the penguin! Will you please let me shoot the penguin?!? Oh...The penguin's on our side. Maybe I'll wait 'til later to shoot the penguin. Hi, Penguin. I'm Nocticia." She looked down at Penji and extended her hand.

"Penji!" the penguin replied, extending a flippered wing that Nocticia shook. "No shooting penguin!" Penguin has bigger guns."
