| Character Background:As her name might suggest, Poeme LaVie is the daughter of
a pair of very talented and charismatic bards. An only child, she spent her
youth accompanying them in their journeys throughout the lands. While her
parents spent hours entertaining and amusing the patrons of various inns and
taverns along the way with songs, stories and poetry, Poeme, left to her own
devices, would retreat to the forests and vales of the surrounding countryside
to explore and seek, befriending animals rather than other children. As a
result, nature held a fascination for her always and, consequently, when old
enough to go her own way, she opted for a profession more suitable for herself, although
blessed with the angelic singing voice of her mother, she readily admits to
having no affinity for storytelling, writing poetry or composing music. She
travels still, a decided wanderlust ingrained within her now, yet also yearns to
establish herself and have a real home someday. Her isolation a!
s a child, while having resulted in a determined independence, also served to
render her somewhat shy and quiet, even slightly reserved. She does, however,
warm up quickly, responding in kind to a friendly word or gesture and, once
familiar, will be a very loyal and gracious friend.
