History: Courfeyrac was born in a small town just outside Avingnon, France. He grew up extreamly bourgeois, doing what he wanted and caring about no one but himself. He spent his parents money, hung out with his friends, and snubbed everyone he thought was below him.

When Courfeyrac's parents informed him that they were sending him to Paris for college, he was extreamly angry. There was no way he was leaving his friends and his home. But in the end, he had no choice in the matter.

Once in Paris, Courfeyrac soon met up with and made friends with Grantaire, a new student there as well. He was also aquainted with many of the people who would eventually become Les Amis de l'ABC, but stayed away from them because of their liberal politics. Somewhere along the way, though, he began to really look at the his surroundings. And realize how miserables the people around him were. He began to listen to all the "radical talk" going around. And it all started making sense. He got to know Enjolras, and with his help, began the formation of Les Amis.
