WEEK SEVEN: Betweening.

OOC things to get done/know during this week before your lesson on
betweening:

1. By going through the help file(s) (listed below) on the game, it
will make for the lesson to run a bit more smoothly. You will,
of course, be reminded of which codes to use when the time
comes.

Help files:
'help betweening'

2. As training for between starts off with the weyrlings and
dragons going through drills of recognizing their terrain, the
WLM will have instructed all weyrlings on how best to visualize
destinations. (As we speed up the time that you serve as a
weyrling, this will not be given in a class.)

3. There is always the chance that the pair does not make it
through. Even with the greatest precautions, a few new
weyrling pairs go between and never reappear. Naturally this
will not happen with any of you since the point of this is to
teach you, not end your character.

IC things to get done this week:

1. Feel free to RP drilling amongst yourselves to see that you
recognize various destinations. Basicly all text based (normal
RP) and pose the envisioned place from dragon to dragon after
your character has sent it to your lifemate.

2. Improve! That's right. If time comes for the lesson and you
pose your character as not having gotten through drills and
gotten better, the WLM will naturally not let you go between.
It will only be when the WLM is satisfied with progress that you
will actually be taken between. (So word to the wise, RP being
basicly ready.)

The Lesson:

Each pair is taken individually with the WLM (AWLMs included since it would
be nonsense given the time frame of a lesson for just one to do this with
the class). You, the weyrling, will simply be a passenger as we begin, your
dragon learning and envisioning destinations from the WLMs lifemate.

If the dragon cannot find the place its rider has pictured, they will not
come out of between. The first jump between is always startling; the WLM
will jump between several times before letting them visualize the
destination and make the jump unaided.

You will be given various places to learn so that you'll be able to navigate
better around DF.
