1.) VISITORS: Any and all visitors are NOT allowed in the barracks;
however, the training grounds are open for business. The first RL week of impression, you are may go out to the training grounds or even the living caverns for SHORT bouts of RP. Realisitically you would not be leaving your realitively young lifemate, but RP is what we all come to DF for, so I don't want to keep you from doing so. Please don't abuse this by running off to the beach or some such.

2.) MAKE-UP TRAINING: If you are going to miss a lesson please inform your Weyrlingmaster and arrange a make-up. It is your responsibility to schedule it with one of the WLM's. Any of the Assistant Weyrlingmasters can give you a make-up, not just the Weyrlingmaster or PCs. (Of course that does NOT mean do the NPC yourself, log, and send it in. Not possible. =P) Remember: If you don't get the lessons, you miss out on that part of your role-play and growth. You miss too many and you won't be as far along as the rest of your classmates. This usually means graduating at a later date.

3.) LEAVING THE WEYR AND FLYING: You may not leave the weyr until late in your weyrling period. I will let you know when you are free to fly. It will be after your dragon learns to fly. At first you'll be restricted to the weyr and then to the island. After your betweening class you'll be able to range further. Wait for the WLM's permission. And NO BETWEENING until you have your lesson!

4.) SEXUAL RELATIONS: Sex is strongly discouraged until you are assigned your weyrs. This means no consummation of romantic relationships, please :) It's okay to fall in love and pine for the time you can be together. Or to talk about it but don't do it. (This is just one more thing for a weyrling to gripe about ICly). The IC reason is that you are working on the developing bond with your dragon and that they are not mature enough to handle the resultant emotions/sensations.

5.) ALCOHOL: Please no consumption of alcohol during your weyrling period. Wait until after you graduate to take a sip/get smashed/what have you. No harm in drooling over a skin of wine, or something like that -- if you must -- just no consuming!

6.) PRANKS: Pranks are not something you will have much time for with lessons, training, caring for your lifemate, and taking care of yourself. But if you simply get the urge, any major prank should go through the WLM and the AWLMs first. Small pranks will be kept in the good nature of fun and not be made in any way that would be offensive to another candidate or rider. Powerplaying is unacceptable.

7.) VIOLENCE: Please, no violence. If you are not sure if something is considered violent, run it by the WLM or any AWLMs on at the time. Remember that your lifemates have not yet experienced such things and are not mature enough to handle the stress or emotions that go along with such things. There is always plenty of things to RP that you should not need violence.

Half the fun of being a Ling is COMPLAINING! Remeber these rules are there to make life interesting!
