There are two ways to "move" your dragon. One is just to pose your dragon doing something. The other is to actually move him/her from room to room. You should have added the controller code to your dragon (lookup Impression!) already. In the example given there, Ambarth's code was 'am'. To pose Ambarth, his rider would type cdam=:pose

Example: cdam :stretches his wings would show up as Ambarth stretches his wings.

Your dragon moves from room to room the same way you do. By typing the exit name. You will always use the controller code first. Ambarth would move from the sands to the of the hatching sands like this cdam entrance.

After the hatching is over, you will be instructed to go to the Weyrling Barracks which are out on the Training Grounds. This will be your new home until you and your lifemate get your own weyr. To go to the barracks from the sands you need to wait for the rest of your clutch and your WLM will give you the exit. You need to take your dragon with you! When the time comes be sure to type the exit name for yourself and then for your dragon , etc. Your dragon is expected to follow you everywhere now. You may be reprimanded by your WLM's if it is discovered you've been neglecting your lifemate.
