The Favoured Ones of the Divine Gem are to be respected by both Orders. Their exactly status within Avalon is unknown to outsiders. It is rumoured that their power can rival even that of Gods, however, there is no evidence to support this. The limits of their power are unknown, for even during the two Divine Wars, they have not interfered directly. It is also rumoured that the minds and souls of the Favoured Ones are inside the Divine Gems, so none may reach or harm them even when their bodies are gone.
The Favoured Ones are immortals. They heal very fast, and therefore, they do not bleed; and cannot be killed by mortal weapons. The only weapons to harm, and slow down their fast healing processes are the ones blessed by the Divine Gems, or the Holy Regalia.
Not all the Gems have a Favoured One, and it is not surprising that most of the chosen ones are women. The Favoured Ones are given a new name to symbolise purification and reborn.
