In the beginning, the Isle was a site that I had put together as a personal website. However, I thought that I would take it a step farther, and create a site that will help those that are intrigued about the wolf, to direct them to other sites that will provide more information that is beneficial to them. So that is how 'Belgarion's Kingdom' was founded. Belgarion's Kingdom is a door way into the WWW to those sites that provide uncounted sources of information for the wolf lovers. As all this was taking place, Belgarion's Kingdom was changed to 'David's Kingdom'.
Then it was decided that the whole idea should be scraped, and a new name would be choosen. Thus, The Isle of the Wolf made its first steps. This was thought to be a better name for this place for the wolf. After this name was chosen, there hasn't been a need to make any other changes to the name. The Isle is going strong, and will continue to provide information about these wonderful creatures.
To this date, the Isle of the Wolf has been a haven for wolves. I have been traveling around to find other sanctuaries of wolves that the Isle would do better if it united with them. So far there has only been one other place, The Wolf Protection, that has caught my eye. There are others out there, but I going to have to review them very carefully to ensure that the Isle is a beneficial part to their ideals.
Recent News
A few months ago, the Isle of the Wolf had been talking with people from NAWA.org. The emails consisted of getting permission to use some of their photos on this site. We did get the permission to do so. This will really help with the look of the Isle.
With that all said, I would like to say thank you to NAWA.org and all their staff for the use of these photos.
